I'm not too concerned yet but there have been some birds in my state which were ill. I suppose though if it got too out of hand it could really be a problem. It would help if ppl didn't leave standing water out to attract them. So does it concern you?
Nope. I'm in PA. We did have a few wild-life deaths last Summer due to it, but nothing to worry about. Besides, West Nile tends to kill the elderly and infants. You'll be fine. If you were unfortunate enough to contract it, you'll get violently ill, but that's about it.

Meh. Birds die of it a few towns over from me every year and I'm not worried.
I believe one of the major symptoms is stiff neck - so if you start feeling a little restricted tension up there - go to a doctor.
Well, We got few dead birds with that here in WI, but no human sick yet. I dont think we should worry much about it a the moment.

Lol, I live in NYC, we're always hearing shit about people and animals getting it. Hell, first time this year a bird with it was discovered was right by my house. But I'm ready for the fuckers! Any mosquitoes come by me and I'll hit them with a metal baseball bat!
Seriously though, if you have even a mediocre immune system, chances are you won't get it.
It won't even make you that sick, if you aren't old or infirm.
