Jin Saotome's first appearance?

Hey:

Jin Saotome has, to my knowledge, appeared in the following Capcom games:

Cyberbots
Marvel vs. Capcom
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Chokousenki Kikaioh (Tech Romancer)

Supposedly, Jin's first appearance is not Cyberbots, but an obscure game called Metal Warrior or something to that effect. I did a search for MW just now on GameFAQS, the VGMuseum, and Yahoo!, and only came up with a series on the Commodore 64 by a company I've never heard of. There is a Metal WarriorS on the SNES, but in the title screen I saw, there was no Capcom logo and the mech you could play as didn't look like Blodia. Can someone clarify Jin's first appearance?

I thought it was Cyberbots also.

The game you speak of is featured in the first Capcom Illustrations Mook that was produced a few years back.

I think it was a side-scrolling beat'em up/action type title that featured 4 mechs from Cyberbots, and Jin. There's a handful of screenshots and chara sketches in the book. I think it dates 90 or 91.

I've never seen or played the game.

How do I get Blodia in Tech Romancer? Do I need to play that damned VMU mini game to gather enough points to buy it?

So...er...uh...how do I acumulate enough "G" to buy it? Just playing in Story mode? I've been playing in story mode and haven't earned a damned cent! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

*I'm pretty sure you have to play in the arcade mode (or original mode maybe?) to earn the money. Try whatever mode isn't the story mode.

The game in question is Powered Gear (Armored Warriors). While it did feature Blodia, I don't believe Jin Saotome was in that game.
