Also it was funny I remember actually having a hard time with the last boss, even dieing 4 or 5 times. Then one day I was showing a friend the last boss and said "Yeah this guy is a bitch".... ... I killed him in 30 seconds without taking any damage.....

IIRC they're both Lawyers.
I know burg just graduated from Law school and I think sleeve works for a firm. Not 100% on that, though.
I really want to finish this game, yet it's been so long I don't remember anything will have to start over which makes me :(.
Oh sweet delicious power. I've been going back through this game to finally finish it, and this time I didn't run around a bunch of battles so that my guys would be properly levelled and did some smithing to get some good weapons early on. I reached the Urssa Caverns only to find that all the creatures in there were on a similar strength level to my own characters, to where at least one person would die every fight even though I had no problem in the caves leading up to this point.
So I sat down and did some alchemy for a couple Orichalcum and did some smithing to put Fayt up to +500x5 and Cliff got +500x3. I just defeated Crosell in about three seconds and got both battle trophies. How sweet it was. I can't wait to get the final weapons so I can go nuts with smithing that stuff.
Yeah, I really gotta give this game another go. I gave up on my first game when I kept losing to Freya, but this time around I think I'll actually have a caster in my party (Fayt, Albel, and Cliff were my last party) so this time that bitch is going down.
Just beat it, pretty good ending (Fayt + Sophia) though I wish it had been longer and covered more of the characters. I also haven't beaten an RPG final boss that badly in years, it was pretty funny to watch him die in only a couple attacks. I was a bit disappointed that they only allowed up to eight modifications on a weapon but I guess that already made it way too easy anyway.
All that smithing and alchemy reminds me: more RPGs need a New Game+ feature. The Clear data is pretty cool but I want to be able to run through the whole story again powered up.
