Yeah well I'm stubborn, so I'll rent the game first even if it is supposed to suck. But hey, if it does suck I can spend the time I would playing it, playing Star Ocean 2 over again ^^.
Has everyone seen that Enix is blaming Sony for the crash problem? Awfully cute of them.
Well, theoretically it would be nice if the silent revisions they make to their hardware you know... not cause compatibility problems.Quote:

I've heard that it's been happening on all versions of the console, though I of course can't say it is for certain. Still... are other companies having problems like this, or is it just Enix?Quote:

Enix/tri-Ace claims that Sony gave them the wrong libraries. This is nonsense. On the SCHP-10000 series, it plain doesn't work if you don't install it on a HDD. When you get to the first mid-boss fight, the game freezes 100% of the time. On all other models it just has the "normal" tri-Ace bugs. Random freezes during battles, during loading, while running around, while watching the ending, and other fun crap. No doubt these will probably be cleaned up or fixed in the US version, but it'll take alot more than reprogramming to make SO3 a remotely fun game for fans of the series.
if enix/tri-Ace are wrong, why is sony willingly handling the customer service for SO3?
personally i thought SOSS was boring as crap (i played 3-5 hours of it) so i'm looking forward to something else. i loved valkyrie pofile though. your post without any explanation of your opinions doesn't convince me otherwise.
in short, looking forward to checking it out for myself.
Duckroll is the same person that promised and swore on cemeteries that none of us would ever be able to play Ikaruga on Dreamcast ever in our lives.
Take that as you will.
I'm still looking foward to it, hopefully the problems they are having will be fixed when it's released here though.
dog$: I saw dog station was released on PS2 in Japan, first thing I thought of was you and your dog station avatar you had :)
I wish I had money to burn to pick up the deluxe version of it with the microphone attatchment (I'd just LOVE to see how much I can vocally mangle Japanese), but unfortunately I'm spening money I don't have on a SPCH39000 (thank you VGD) and none of the stores I've visited seem to carry Dogstation. I'm not sure exactly why.
All of the negative things said here and gamefaqs may be true, but as long as the game is better than Poplocrois 3, I won't be disappointed with it.
