It could certainly seem that way. The truth is that once I have the Xbox, I am sure as hell going to justify having it. Horror games are some of the few where graphics really do make a difference, so they might as well be on the Xbox.Quote:

Plus that what the hell does Nintendo have after RE0, Starfox, F-zero GC and Kameo anyways? Not a whole lot. Capcom seems to be the only consistent third party developer in Nintendo's corner at this point and with Rare all but abandoning them, Nintendo really doesn't have much to stand on expect Gameboy and Pokemon sales.
Sales will likely go through the roof once the Nintendo Three hit the states (or not), but after that feeding frenzy dissapates then what? We'll talk a year from now.
EDIT: Oh and Xbox will see both titles ported.

As great as those games all seem to be, the only game in there that has the most name brand recognition is DOA and to a lessor extent Panzer and Toe Jam&Earl.Quote:

Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Resident Evil and even Starfox have more name recognition than the ones you listed. Nintendo is probably banking on those system sellers to sell heavily while Microsoft is getting on by and building up their first party games and exclusives/time exclusives(Splinter Cell, MGS2:Substance, DTR).
This sort of brings me back to Zidane's thread about Nintendo running dry of stuff develop. Nintendo wants to get these big name hits out of the way to get to the new stuff hopefully and don't forget the GBA stuff, because it's a system too! :D
I am almost sure that I am going to try to wait for an Xbox port of Onimusha 2. Silent Hill 3 may be tougher if nothing is announced before the US release.
We see how well name recognition worked for SMS in japan...
I doubt in this next gen, post-GTA3 era, Mario and Co have quite the same pull they used to.
