I will never own Sin and Punishment

Well, I bought damn N64 just to play this game, after reading about its greatness over and over again. I saw it on Ebay 2 months ago, great price it was and promtly snatched it, along with cart converter. I happily payed the guy, and started waiting for my game arrival. How naive I was. He never replied back to me, nor I got anything from him. He got my money and was gone. And the saddest thing is he STILL on EBAY, and probably screwing another unlucky customers now, and Ebay administration WONT DO SHIT about it :mad: I just saw his another auction end for the items exactly like mine, so I feel sorry for someone like me who will get ripped off now :(

Ok, So I decided to look for the game elsewhere. And what do you think? None of the stores like NCSX or Videogame Depot have it !!!! Lovely. What does it leave me? Back to Ebay I went, and then I saw an auction, with a great offer on this game, price stayed relatively low, so I started awaiting the end of the aution, that happend later last night. Time came, and I bid at almost the end, since I'm on 56k modem, and it can be pretty slow sometimes, I didnt bid in the last 5 sec like some people would do, but I still overbid the prior offer. I was excited - Finally I will OWN it, but alas, it wasnt ment to happen. Some ashole sniped it in the last 2 sec !!!!

FUCK !!! :mad: Now I depressed. I guess it just not ment for me to own the damn game. Maybe I will try again, but with my lucky history so far, I will probably wont be succesful:(

Eh.. first of all, I don't think you should get yourself worked up for S&P, it's a fun game but nothing to get this stressed over about.

Second, kick that guy's ass who screwed you on the auction. If it was me, I'd be sending him e-mails every other day annoying the hell out of him. I believe Ebay has some policy where you'll get a refund but it's only if you spend more than $50 or something like that and they keep like 10% of it.

Third, just keep an eye out but IMO it's not worth it to blow your top hunting for this game.

There is a website that has some copies, japanvideogames.com or something along those lines. I can seem to find the addy right now, sorry. I too desire this game with great.. uh, desire. Alas I have a lack of funds that is killing me. Oh, and a quick check reveals that www.videogameimports.com has some in stock. Good luck in your procurement(sp?).

Despair - If I were you, I would register a fake username and bid on that guy's stuff, then not pay him.

About whining about "sniping" and "price gouging" - deal with it. Sniping is the only way you're ever going to get a reasonable deal on eBay. And no one is price gouging on eBay - things sell for what they're worth.

Stick to eBay - you'll find a good deal there reasonably soon. Getting ripped off sucks, but I bet it's happened to all of us at least once.

Also, if you paid through PayPal, you can lodge a complaint with them. If you paid by credit card, you can complain to your credit card company.

Yup, pay pal will get you some action, not ebay. Some guy ripped me off on a Radiant silvergun auction, & Ebay did nothing. Pay pal on the other hand, checked out the situation & as soon as he had funds in his account, they just took it & refunded me!

Well I don't like NCS now do I? They've schlocked me out on far too many occasions to list. But I suppose there is an obvious conflict of interest when one company wishes to be both a retailer and a wholesaler simultaneous. I mean why see to it that the retailers who order from you at a discount get their shit that they prepaid for when a bunch of mail order customers are willing to fork over full retail for the same shit. I should've realized that before ever giving those dirty fucks at NCS my money. Not ONCE did they ever even get me %50 of the items that I ordered FAR in advance and prepaid for.

I think Pa is saying that since he buys in bulk, he does get better pricing, but since NCS sells both to retailers (him) and consumers (us), but make more $ per unit selling to consumers, they tend to short-change him on orders of harder-to-find stuff, preferring to sell those units themselves to customers.

That sucks, but I still think NCS is a good place for regular schmoes to buy from.

I can see what you mean PaCrappa, but for me NCS is one of the best stores I buy at, they have fast shipping and everything is always well packaged, plus they hold items for me so I can save on shipping costs and that in my book is great... at least for customers.

I don't see NCS as a wholesale company since they are pretty much the middle man themselves, they are a store after all.

well one one guy was trying to scam me on ebay for a Ridge Racer Type 4 Direct Audio soundtrack I won (2 weeks went by after my payment had been sent and I received no item or emails), I easily obtained his phone number from ebay and proceeded to call his house ASS EARLY in the morning every morning asking whatever woman that picked up the phone to send me my fucking soundtrack. A few days after that, I got an email from him saying my soundtrack was on it's way and it showed up a few days later. =) Since he was in a different time zone it was either real late at night or super early in the morning for him, and just a regular ol' hour that I was awake for me. :P

I ordered mine off of ebay too, and had a similar experience, but I payed with paypal... So I sent him an email explaining that if my game was not sent promptly I would use paypal's fraud protection to take my money back. THEN he started returning my emails, and about 4 days later he actually shipped the damn thing.

Wow, I got mine from numbthumb too... it was the game (brand-spanking new, still sealed) and the converter for $40.00 or so. Guess I got lucky, or something.

I wouldn't buy Sin & Punishment for $5. It thought it was an awful game.
