Yep, once you see it in motion I don't know how you can have any doubt that this game looks better than any other game.

Also that picture is from an extreme close up view. There probably won't be many times when you see the enemy like that (unless you are getting your ass kicked like nobody's business). When you look at a model up-close it always betrays itself... all the Prime pictures had enemies from farther away.
But I guess, since as you guys say, it doesn't look like that in motion, it doesn't matter. But, in the end, Doom III looks farrrrrrrr better than Metroid Prime.
Why the hell are we comparing Doom III to Metroid Prime in the first place?
Because Nintendo fanboys are blind.
I agree. I recall reading a long interview with the developers about both Thief 3 (PC rev) and Deus Ex 2 (Xbox rev). Both games seemed very impressive thus far.Quote:

Oh yeah, and there's no downside to Doom 3 on Xbox. PC gamers won't care one way or another, and 'box boys will get another VERY solid FPS for their hated Western console. I can't imagine that Doom 3 won't sell a 'box or two...
Gotta love those Andy787 blanket statements. :rolleyes:Quote:

Cause Metroid is a console FPS and Doom 3 will eventually be a console FPS.Quote:

Yes, I realize I'm probably wrong or something, but I do not care. I'm not an id-fan, nor am I a Nintendo fanboy. I just picked Metroid to try to prove a point. The overall point is not that MP's engine is better, or that the GC is more powerful than a 3GHz PC with a Geforce 18 card or whatever Carmack got his hands on; it's that Doom 3's graphical design in the pictures I've seen currently does not appeal to me, and that I believe Metroid's graphical design is better. In my eyes, the enemies in Doom 3 do not mesh with the environments. If they're incomplete models, fine. id ought to pull it off and make everything groovy. Whatever.
Suffice to say that I'm not going to slobber over anything id til it hits the shelves.
YAY, of course, now I have a computer that might be able to run the PC version of it perfectly... Eh, I'll still go with the Xbox version after I buy DVD cases to NOT have green cases for every fucking game.
