OK... I remember a while back we had a thread where someone said something about emulatoors these days having net play built in. If this is indeed fact, what is the name of the best emulator for Genesis that has this feature?
No, I don't need to know where to get it, or roms.
I also don't need the morality police to run in here and bitch. If you have a problem with emulation, and want to debate, don't bother. It has already been done to death, and everyone is sick of it.
I think its like KGen. Or Genecyst. Just search for "Genesis Emulators" on google. The fact is that all the big ones, even the Windows based ones, are mature enough. Maybe four years ago there was a problem because Windows 95 sucked, and PCs were too slow to adequately run emulators, but nowadays the emulation code is mature and the processors are fast enough that it doesnt really matter.

I got another question about emulation:
I downloaded ZSNES and the Legend of Zelda III ROM image (its legal guys, I own the game) and I want to capture like five or six seperate consecutive pictures so I can doctor screenshots. Unfortunately... Im running into a few snags:
01. ZSNES' built in screenshot capability doesnt seem to take pictures above the game's resolution, which is like 256x223. I want the picture to be in whatever resolution I am running it at...
02. I tried using Hypersnap 3.6x but I get an error whenever I use a combination of "Enable Special Capture" (with the DX thing selected) and "Quick Save" (so I can save five or six different pictures in the same session. Seems to be a problem saving things.
Anybody who has run into this problem who can help? Thanks!
edit: nevermind... I figured out a workaround. An ugly one but one that works.
I'm all for emulation, as long as its of dead consoles.
I'm playing Breath of Fire 2 at the moment with ZSNES.
I like it when emulation manages to do cool new things with old games. From small things like network support to really odd things like that group that took Mame and set it up to play vector games on one of those laser light shows.

I use IRC to find roms and emulators. I'm not sure whether we're allowed to post where though.
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to. So I think it would be best just to leave it IRC as it is. Wouldn't want the rom police to crack down on you.
