CounterStrike?

After hearing masses and masses about this game for years, I figure I'd give it a try. I found HL today for a mere $5 so now I wanna d/l CS but I'm having trouble finding a site with it available for download.

Anyone have a site with CS for download as a mod for HL?

I just started playing Counter-strike recently. I quit playing because it was too damn addictive (about 8 months ago) and now I'm back (mainly because of DSL).

Maybe we'll meet on the same server sometime.

CS is the best game ever. I go by Andy787, Pancake, Goblin >=O, or Spongebob, IM me and I'll play most of the time :)

Does it ask you for a username the first time you boot up CS, or does the Name changing work like Quake 1?

Ok, is there an easy way to update my "protcols"? I tried getting into some games and it says my protocols arent up to date, so I cannot access the servers.

you'll also need to update Half-Life itself to the most recent version (another big download)

i've found it's easier to just find a place to download the full update, rather than using the auto-update featured with the game (the program is a total piece of shit)

... and although i don't play nearly as much as i used to... i could see myself getting back into it if i found a nice server to frequent
