Count me out until a price drop as well. It's nearly double the price of the XBOX itself! WTF is that all about!

All math aside however, that is ludicrous. There is no way that the controller costs as much to manufacture as the Xbox itself. It had better come with an ACTUAL MECH for that price.
That price hurts. I'm still buying it though.
Think of it this way: since the game will only be shipped to stores with $50 pre-orders, it is reasonable to assume that this game will be on the rare side. Hence, you can sell it used on Ebay easily- likely with a profit.
you can minimize your losses relatively easily if you get it and decide it ain't worth $250 bones...
If it goes up anymore you might have to pay a luxury tax on it :p
