So, I have this game preordered at NCS, along with Auto Modellista. In their import outlook on Monday, they had no mention of it coming in this week, and they usualy announce most everything they get in.
I guess the question is,"Does anyone know if there has been another delay?"
i read at Shmups Forum it might actually be a PS1 game...
it doesnt seem like it is ever gonna be released, and from what ive heard it might not be worth a console release.

A fucking PS1 game?!?! I know it has its detractors, but I was really looking forward to a little more shmuping on my J-PS2. I don't hang around the shmups form, could you post a link to the pertinent info?

I emailed NCS about it when I started the thread, so I'll see what they have to say tomorrow...
Well it was originally slated as a PS1 release. It's been riding the outer perimiter of the TFP radar scope for damn near a year. I was tripping like paw when I heard that it was PS2. So now it's back on the PS1? That's fine with me. And why does it have to be Ray Crisisy? Have you ever played the overwhelmingly superior DoDonPachi on the PS1? If you're referencing any of that "the Playstation is weak when it comes to 2D" nonsense, you may as well check it at the door and start playing some <i>real</i> PS1 games.

Ha, I'm starting to wonder where the hell this will end up as well, even though I've lost interest in actually playing it. Maybe it'll end up moving to the GBA! ;)

PS1 may be good at 2D, but that wasn't the issue in the raycrisis statement. Night Raid is a Taito G-net game in the arcades & a lot of the G-Net games have a similar look. Thats all. That is also why it would make sense for it to be a PS1 game, since G-Net is a PSX eqivalent isn't it? I know Psyvivar was also G-net, but it may be more cost effective to keep it PS1 instead of bumping it up to PS2
Actually Fizz over at shmups totally ripped this game to pieces, in terms of gameplay & scoring system. He is a japanese shmup fan & said that it is kind of a joke in the J arcades.

Don't be in too much of hurry about Night Raid...you might be disappointed.
