Can't disagree with the subject, it's on the Internet so it must be true.
Thank you. It is our job to educate the unwashed masses that believe RiD is actually a *Good* Transformers show. Left Laser my ass.
blah...
that show gets a 2/10 from me ( 2 for it being Transformers ).
"Ruination?" Who the $&%^ names these guys?! Not only do they take one of the coolest Gestalt groups and bastardize them, but they have them calling out attacks like Street Fighter!
in a robot cartoon, this can only be a good thing. Has me wishing I was watching this show ~Quote:

The worst part about this cartoon is nothing is taken seriously... Armada is today, folks. Let's hope it kicks ass!
RID, wasn't the best of the Transformer shows, although I did like how Skybite escape and was still on earth at the end of series.Quote:

"who's the badest shark in town, whose the coolest fish around, skybite that's me" I rank the show at 1.5/10.
As for Armada,it will bring back some old time transformer style plots and artwork, which is real treat. Don't forget, Armada airs on Cartoon Network at 4pm today.
I didn't even know RiD ended... and I hated everytime Skybite would sing... ugh!
I know, that shit was hella annoying. the last episode was titled The Final Battle, it had Galvatron vs Omega Prime , in a stupid, corny ass battle to the death.
So how did it end? I at least want to know that.
The show ended with the kids sending power to Fortress Maximus, t get him fully charge, Fortress Maximus then sends the power to Omega Prime, which causes Prime to be fully charge and very powerful Prime uses his new power to create a giant anime style sword and kicks Galvatron ass with hit. When the battle is over the Decepticons and Predacons are being taken to the Penal colony by Fortress Maximus, while Autobots are enjoying there last days on Earth, before returning to cybertron. The last scene shows Skybite in ocean singing to himself, the end.
I'm sad that it ended.
Hey, guess what.... Nobody Cares!!!Quote:

Wow... so much animosity... did you guys catch Armada? Not as great as I hoped it would be...
Nothing will surpass the original in my opinion. :bang:
Here's to Rhyno hopefully releasing future season boxsets! I'll be the first in line for 'em :D
I agree
What do you mean by "hopefully?" They all have shipping dates! It's only a matter of time! :DQuote:

On a related note, Armada seems to bite crusty ass too. :/
Why don't they rename the show "Rad and His Amazing Transforming Friends"? The Penny-Arcade for today addresses part of the problem (Pokemon Syndrome). Are the kids there to give children someone to identify with? Doesn't that mean that the characterizations of the TFs are weak? I realize there were a few humans in the G1 series (discounting Daniel, as he was annoying), but the stars of the show "Transformers" were, er, Transformers! What a novel idea!
Corny or not, the G1 show had some depth to the characters/TFs. There were a variety of personalities amongst the Autobots and Decepticons, and there was a good chance that a kid back then could identify with one in particular. Armada so far seems to have generic good guys vs. generic bad guys, with stereotypical cartoon teenagers thrown in as the focal point. Granted, it could be worse. They could have been yelling "Ass Laser! Crotch Laser!" :)
Hey! I have a "Crotch Laser!" And it's copyrighted! You owe me a royalty fee for it's usage in your post!
And I agree. Read the Armada comic...and, sadly, keep away from the cartoon. Armada comic = incredible art, story, TF character development; Armada cartoon = crap.
But at least the toys are cool. I still need Optimus, Megatron, Lazer Beak, and Red Alert. But they'll be mine within the week.
I'm on vaction right now.. otherwise.. i would give a long post.. so wait a couple of weeks.. tili I come back..
in the meantimes..
"armadma is cool" armada is gonna kick ass...
RiD for EVER.. Aramda sucked ass you btiches and you know it...
Rid greatest transfomrers ever..
No it's not. End of story. ;)Quote:

RiD is garbage. Hell, Gen2 was better than RiD, and I hate Gen2 with a passion!
The way I see it, there are three good TF series. Gen1, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines. I might catch some flack for those last two, but they at least integrated the Gen1 timeline...and kept it continuous! History wasn't rewritten in Beast Wars, just expounded upon. And Beast Machines was beautiful...even with the story quirks, and again it didn't rewrite history.
RiD was a mess. And Armada is shaping up to be the same. I'll give it a chance, because I really want to like it. But it's fire is fading fast...
I'd like to see a continuation of the Gen1/Beast Wars/Beast Machines story line, as it's the original and best TF timeline out there. And like all other great series, history repeats itself in this timeline. I love that!
I liked Beast Wars a lot (especially towards the end) but Beast Machines wasn't as interesting. I didn't like Nightscream and the series just consisted of the Maximals running from armies of mindless tanks and jets as opposed to an army of real bad guys. I like Jetstorm though and the story was interesting but in execution I thought it wasn't as good as BW.
Agreed. Beast Machines needed some work. But the animation kept me coming back.
Like I said before, I'd really like to see a continuation of that timeline. Hell! Mainframe Entertainment could even do the CGI! I just want a new, good TF series in the same vein as Gen1/BW/BM.
I loved how Ravage made an appearance in BW. I think a CG G1 series done by Mainframe would be awesome. And have the writers from Beast Wars/G1 write the series!
Would you believe that Square Pictures had the rights to do a Gen1 TF movie?
Well...they did... :(
But since we ain't getting that (unless the guys who bought Square Pictures bought the rights as well and plan on making one), I like you idea a lot! :D
Can you believe the only episode of Beast Wars i missed was the day they found OPTIMUS PRIME AND HE FUSED WITH HIM!!!
i was pissed when i heard i missed that ep.just like that 1 fucking ep of Outlaw star i ALWAYS MISSED!its titled "The Seven Arrive"...GAH its so frustraiting.
As for Armada....i was like...eh!?
the sound effects are super crappy.the dialog is kind of campy...and they autobots(only 3)give each other....POUNDS!!...GOOD GOD how corny is that.AND THEY DID IT WRONG!!!!!!!But i will give it a couple of chances before i spit on it.
Words from the Big Black Guy,
JBNagis
p.s.RiD was total SHIT!
.....what the hell....they should just air the original episodes, beast wars and beast machines and call it a day.
Why the hell hasn't anyone reaired the original episodes? Christ, what the fuck? I'd kill for reruns of that and Captain N.
Rhinovision owns the rights to the TF Gen1 series, and they ain't selling.
I don't know what Fox and Mainframe are doing with Beast Wars, but they better get off their asses with it!
RID-sucks
BW-The second best
G1-The Best
Armada-fucken "A"
BM-third Best
G2-okay, medium
G2 was basically a rerun of G1 wasn't it? Plus the crappy cube morphing transitions which cut out some scenes. Get the TF Season 1 DVD set, it'll tide your TF crave over for some time. There's mistakes in it though, but it's good to see the original series again. It's not as corny as most 80's cartoons either.
That doesn't mean they can't license. :) If I was Cartoon Network, I would see if I could license the original He-Man, G1 TF, and package it with Thundercats and GI Joe (which they currently have broadcast rights to) on Saturday mornings or Friday Nights (Flashback Friday, or some cheesy catch phrase). Nope. Gen2 was it's own timeline. When I say Gen2, most people think "Rodimus Prime," or "Post-TF the Movie." If you're thinking that, then you're not thinking Gen2. Rodimus Prime and everything after the movie was still in the Gen1 continuum.Quote:

Gen2 was when the history of the Great War was re-written. Megatron was a freaking tank instead of a gun...and several of the Gen1 TFs were given new forms. It totally trashed everything we had come to learn about the TFs from Gen1. And it was utter crap to boot.
I have the boxed set. :D Season 1, ne? Season two is due out within the end of the year from what I understand. Oh! The agony of anticipation!
Excellent idea. But I think Rhynovision thinks it\'ll detract from sales of the boxed sets. Oh, well. At least they aren\'t sitting on it like what Fox/Mainframe are doing.Quote:

And what the holy HELL ever happened to my Silver Hawks at 4:00pm?! Damnit! If they were going to have a \"Flashback Friday,\" I want my Silver Hawks back, damnit!
I remember in the mid-90's when Transformers G1 reaired on TV, but it was labeled Generation 2 when all it had were these fancy 3D transitions between commercial breaks and scenes. I wasn't talking about the Rodimus Prime/post-TF: Movie episodes. I meant on WB (before they called it WB), they showed generation 1 eps but called it generation 2.
Yes, your right, did you guess notice that the vehicle modes of Transformers in Armada didn't change to normal size vehicles when they transformed.
RID was a bad TF show, the only thing good on the shows was the transformations of the transfomers, oh and I also liked Sky-byte to Nemesis.
