What's the most embarassing thing that's happened to you recently?
I'm making this thread in honor of my having failed the WRITTEN part of my driver's test today. (I'm 21, I've had close to perfect scores on almost every standardized test I've ever taken, so on, I couldn't have imagined, in my wildest flights of fancy, ever failing the written part of a driving test.)
My senior year of high school I tripped down some stairs in the middle of a passing period and had a crowd of people around me as I lay twitching on the ground. thats just recentatly ... i fall down alot.
I was in the shower yesterday and suddenly the water just became really hot. It was so hot that I couldn't even get close enough to close the water, so I decided to make an exit from the shower and close the water while standing outside the tub.
So of course, the moment I attempted to step out of the shower, my left leg steps into a bucket. Who the hell leaves a bucket in the bathroom? So, as a result, I trip. But not only did I trip, I took the shower curtain and the shower curtain rod down with me (because I held on to avoid falling). So there I was, on the bathroom floor, with a shower curtain (and rod) on my head and a fucking bucket on my left foot.
So then I go back to my room and a little while later, my mom comes in and asks, "Are you okay?" And I said, "Wha, no, I almost killed myself, go away!"
Stone, buddy, you've made my day. Hell, maybe my whole month. I'm 19, and I've always been down on myself for not passing my written drivers test. I'm not the best student, but I was doing good in class and there were a few people who were total idiots in my drivers class that made good on their test so I thought I'd have no trouble. Failed it twice, and I've studied the handbook off and on but its not very easy.
Anyways, in a thread about Eternal Darkness, I asked if the game was worth playing more than once. Thing is, instead of typing Eternal Darkness, I just wrote the initials. Thats not the bad part, the bad part was intead of writing ED, I wrote ET. I asked if ET has good replay value. Someone caught on, and put up a pic of the Atari ET game.
I recently took the written test to get my permit, and I'm 21. So I guess I don't feel so left out. I didn't fail though (actually I guess I shouldn't say what I got so that I don't make you guys feel bad).
I guess this would qualify as an embarassing moment:
I went to Great Adventure (Six Flags in NJ) with some friends and they convinced me to try the "test your strength" game if they paid for me. So I said alright and I had a tough enough time just picking up the hammer. Needless to say I'm pretty weak, so I lifted the hammer behind my back and almost lost my grip of it. When I managed to finally swing it over to hit the target, I missed completely. Some woman in the crowd laughed out loud and others were quietly chuckling. I hit it on my next shots but I never rang the bell. My friends didn't stop laughing for the next hour. I didn't really feel bad but it was annoying to hear my friends laughing for the next hour and taunting me. :/
Oh, Dirvers tests! Not really embarassing, but kind of an OH SHIT!!! moment, I went to get my DL renewed & it had been expired for 6 fucking months! I hadn't realized it was expired untill I went to get my home improvement loan finalized.
So here I am, needing to have an up to date ID for the loan at the end of the day, & the lady tells me that My license has been expired for so long that I have re-take the written exam. She throws me a book & tells me to study while I wait!!!
Normally I wouldn't be so stressed, but I had to have that ID or I wasn't going to get my loan that day! Luckily I passed it, but damn I was SO nervous.
On the embarassing side, I was playing frisbee, I went for the frisbee, slipped & landed on my ass & the disc smacked me right in the nose. Much laughter ensued.

Oh, my constant misspelling of words while typing too quickly is pretty embarassing too.

Here's another good one - last month, over the course of about a week, I managed to bump my head on about 25-30 different things. Virtually every single time I got out of a car, I hit my head on the roof. I swam into the side of a pool. I slammed my head into the ceiling of a tiny stairwell, bumped my head on shelves, on the curtain railing of a shower. Really, really strange. After the first three or so days of the week, I began to actively try to avoid hitting things with my head, and, if anything, the bumpings just became more frequent.
I capped the week off on a golf course, where I was stung on the head by a wasp while trying to make a chip shot on a short par-4. It's been a funny summer for me- stuff happens that's just not unlucky enough to be unfunny. I kind of like this stuff happening, in a weird way - normally nothing really happens to me, everything just kind of works out and flows along. Because of that, I don't have all that much to bitch about re: myself.
I fell while showering before and I also grabbed the shower curtain rod, causing it to fall on top of me, while the water started spraying all over the place. My roommates asked if I was alright and I pretended like nothing happened. :)Quote:

But I never had a bucket on my foot when that happened! :lol:

My dog (3 yr old golden retriever) sleeps right next to the (front or back) door...usually. I was going downstairs to watch Adult Swim in the basement and so I walked through the kitchen to go downstairs. All of the lights were off so it was pitch black.
Halfway through the kitchen, *yoink* I walk right into the dog laying on the floor and go ass over tea kettle. I did a straight up belly flop onto the kitchen floor. I land with a smack and go "What the fuck!" I look back at see the dog raise her head up and look at me. "What the hell are you doing laying in the middle of the kitchen?!", *blank stare*.
Stupid dog.
I don't do many embarassing things.
