I was thinking, isn't there a law or something that says you're not supposed to leave the scene of an accident?Quote:

Like with most things, it will probably take some time to get over it. Hopefully in a few weeks you can stop thinking about it, even though you might never forget it. Time really is the only thing that helps with bad things like this...Quote:
As much as you don't want to think about it, it just replays over and over in head. :( I honestly don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight.
I guess I'll go play some Golden Sun...
Getting caught up and lost in a nice fantasy world like that of Golden Sun is probably a great idea tho'. I've been playing that game practically non-stop for the past week and I can't get it out of my head! So hopefully it can find a way into yours as well...
Calling the police would be fine.
You have information, and you may be able to do some good. They're not going to arrest you for running away from it. You're how old? 19-20? Not a chance in hell they'll arrest you.
Call them.
Tell them your story.
It might be of importance to the driver of the car...
Do it NOW!
They won\'t be asking you to identify any bodies, just to describe what you saw.
Shinobi, there was nothing you could do, any major accident involving a motorcycle, ESPECIALLY when those who were riding the cycle weren't even equipped with a helmet, typically results in the deaths of the riders. From the way you described it, they were both probably killed instantly and thus were spared much pain and suffering. From someone who was once taking pre-med courses, and whom is the son of a doctor, let me assure you there was nothing you could have done other than collapse unconscious at the sight of the carnage and add to the confusion. You did nothing wrong.
I've been through a life-flashing before my eyes accident before, but I'll spare you guys the details. As for actually viewing one first-hand, well, my family and I were once out driving on the interstate on a vacation, and to the left of us in the far left lane, near the wall, was an old, beat-up truck which was swivelling back and forth across the lines. The guy whom was driving it head was bobbing up and down, back and forth, and he didn't appear to be wearing a seatbelt. My dad said the guy was obviously drunk, and moved several lanes away from him.
Sure enough, seconds later, the truck swerves to the left and starts skidding against the freeway wall, sparks start flying everywhere, and the guy's head disappears from view. I'm not sure what happened to him, I was just a child when it happened, I didn't even turn my head back or look in the rearview mirror after it happened. But I believe that, more than anything else, SADD, MADD, TV specials, etc, THAT more than anything else convinced me never to drink and drive.
I feel for your Shinobi, I hope you feel better soon :(
ive had day dreams of car wrecks. lots of them. i guess its kind of weird, but ive always wanted to save someone's life. to be a hero.
but if it ever came down to it, i dont think id be able to do it....
I drove into a ditch the other day, which wasn't much fun.
Man, that really sucks, but like everyone has been saying, theres nothing you could have done. Quite frankly, I think you're handling yourself well.
I've never whitnessed anything that bad myself. The worst I witnessed was my best friend get the shit beaten out of him by a thug infamous in the area we live. I couldn't help him because I had his mate trying to start something with me. He was much bigger than me, and I didn't stand a chance against him. That took ages to leave my head. Apart from that, the worst I've seen is a busted up walking frame from when an old couple was hit by a car, and blood stained concrete from a gang fight.
I suggest seeking councilling. Its really helpful for things like this.
Even though I haven't really whitnessed anything bad, I know some people who've been through some deep shit. My old english teachers husband was brutally murdered right infront of her. She's been weird ever since. And also, a friend of my family was involved in a car crash in which her daughters head was decapitated. She had to sit in the car for half an hour with her headless daughter sitting next to her...
I can't possibly imagine what it would be like to be in their, or even your situation. I can't stand watching people get hurt, let alone die. I would have probably broken down then and there.
You're doing well, and you did all you could.
Yeah, I don't think so either.Quote:

Unfortunately, I've been desensitized to stuff like this. I won't go into details on how, but I will say that being desensitized is not all its cracked up to be. When something bad happens, and all you can do is look blankly and show no emotion, the guilt starts to build up. I can say, however, that you did the right thing.
