My brother in CT called me today from his cellphone. He was in a pawn shop that had for sale an XBOX system with 1 controller for 139.00. Decision time. I thought hard for a moment and decided that I could not pass it up for that price. I figure that is about as cheap as I will find one. Now I need to find a used HALO for a decent price and wait for Panzer Dragoon
I'll keep my opinion of X-Box to myself.

Bit of advice, Dustin: I remember buying a Dreamcast used for $160. Less than a year later it was at $50 new. Patience!
I don't think we will see an XBOX new for 50.00 next year. Microsoft is not as inept as Sega
If it was in good shape, Dustin, then I'd say you got a good deal, the prices on the system's just recently dropped and I don't think there'll be another one in the near-future. It doesn't help that the X-Box is probably also the most expensive of the three systems to manufacture, what with the on-board GeForce 3 video, the hard drive, buit-in ethernet, etc...
I scored a complete Herzog Zwei today for a whole $8 :D

If were me, I'd just as soon plunk down the extra $60 for a new one. Especially given the fact that the early X-Boxes had quite a few complaints.

hmm, I wonder if the xbox video card would be compatible with my computer, and I could just put it back for the rare occasion of playing an Xbox game...think it would work?
