End of the Summer movie rap up.

Well, Summer is over, so let's look back all the movies you saw and rate them from 1 to 10 (Or however many movies you saw in the theatres), with ten being the worst. Be sure to toss some commentary in there.

1. Minority Report - I really enjoyed this one, despite some logic errors.

2. Signs - Nice and spooky, M. Night makes up for that sin that was Unbreakable.

3. Reign of Fire - A fun action movie with some cool special effects.

4. Power Puff Girls - Had a lot of potential, but failed to live up to my own enduced hype.

5. Road to Predition - Too predictable.

6. Men in Black 2 - One of my biggest disapointments ever.

7. XXX - What a waste of film.

1. Road to Perdition- The only great film to come out over the summer.
2. Signs- I was let down a bit, but it was fun to watch with a big crowd.
3. Spiderman- Was let down in a few places, need to see it again for a better opinion.
4. Minority Report- A few nice spots and direction, but I'm ambivilant about what Speilberg is doing now.
5. Reign of Fire- A B-Movie with two main characters who were very serious about their roles.
6. Attack of the Clones- One of the biggest letdowns of my life. Hated this flick.

Mine's in no specific order

1.xXx - Fun action flick, though most will disagree

2.Halloween Ressurection - Only Horror flick of the Summer with a cool premise.

3. Minority Report - Complex but fun and neat visuals.

4. Austin powers 3- Laughed my ass off.

5. Signs- Creepy and some tense moments

6. Reign of Fire - Awesome Dragon flick

7. Road to Predition- heh just saw it today very cool Movie esp Jude Law

8. 8 Legged Freaks- fun B Movie goodness

9. Bourne Identitiy - Cool locations, nice twists

10. Bad Company- it had it's moments

Worst Ones

1. MIB 2 - horrible

2. Crocidile Hunter - yeah I saw it.

3. Windtalkers - disapointed

4. Pluto Nash - should have sat on the shelf

1. Spider-Man- I liked it. Light-hearted, fun movie
2. Attack of the Clones- I kept thinking how my butt hurt from sitting there for so long. But some scenes were really pretty.

Well, that's it, two movies this summer. That's actually more than usual. *Isn't into movies* *Got lost on his way to Sound Off! forum* :p

1. Simone - Good, but not great. I've always found Niccol's directing style to be uneven (Weir's adaptation of The Truman Show was a lot more convincing than something Niccol could do I think) but the humour and colour are all there. Very clever satire that doesn't resort too heavily on in-jokes or pretentious attitudes like Irma Vep or the more recent America's Sweethearts.
2. Spider-Man - Great comic flick, decent movie. At least it embraces its roots, unlike X-Men, which makes me want to puke all over the street.
3. Lilo & Stitch - Considering the positive reviews, I was pretty disappointed by this. Rambling, loud, and not too funny.
4. Insomnia - Predictable and forgettable. Very basic film that feels more like a project of Nolan's to show that he can do movies without gimmicky premises.
5. Minority Report - A weak movie that doesn't really explore the themes, it just uses it as an excuse for violence and action.
6. Eight Legged Freaks - Quite average and very spineless. I enjoyed the popcorn.

So Sqoon your gonna see Simone? I passed on it do to Lukewarm Reviews, I dunno it might be good.

Most critics didn't like it but there's good word-to-mouth. But that doesn't really affect me too much since I've liked all of Andrew Niccol's movies so far.

1. Minority Report - I loved the futuristic atmosphere, it took Fifth Element's future, ripped out the retro elements, and put in a blue steel cold world. Plot twists were great. Steven Spielberg hasn't let me down yet...

2. Spiderman - Faithful adaptation of Spiderman's origin, nice action scenes, and funny.

3. Star Wars Episode II - Ho-hum until the lightsabre duels at the end. Hayden Christensen's whining was very annoying.

4. Lilo & Stitch - Like Sqoon, I heard great reviews but I thought it fell short on my expectations. Light-hearted fun nonetheless.

On the other side:

Men In Black II - Very disappointed in this one... Will Smith had too many lines too.

I'm anticipating watching: Serving Sara (love Elizabeth Hurley), The Transporter, Ecks vs Sever, and The Tuxedo.

Well lets see :) Some of my choices on good and bad might surprise some of people, but here we go:

Best 10:

1. Reign of Fire - Very entertaining action film, smart, awesome fx, dark atmosphere and good actor performances

2. Austin Powers Gold Member - Havent laughed that much in the LONG time, very entertaining.

3. Bourne Identity - Very cool and stylish spy film. I was very surprized by it, and Matt Damon was very good.

4. XXX - Say what you want, but it was excellent action film. Vin Diesel was cool, awesome stunts.

5. Pluto Nash - I enjoyed this film alot. Again, I was very surprised, since I expected crap, but it was FUNNY, very action packed and great special fx. Too bad it flopped.

6. Attack of the Clones - Well, its SW film, and it was way better than Phantom Menace :)

7. 8 Legged Freaks - Cool, Monster B movies, lots of spider action, great fx, and just plain silly fun.

Well, I might add some more, as I think about them.

Now, MY WORSE 10 :) This should be more easy

1. Minority Report - Here I'm in total Minority :), since I thought the film was lacking fun, had TOO many logic holes and errors, story in the second half was just boring. And even fx werent very good. Another dissapointment from Spielberg. But it made money :(

2. Man in Black 2 - WTF was that? Lame, boring and NOT FUNNY. Will Smith was irritating, and only Tommie Lee Jones was good. Even FX were just average, and climax was boring. But it made MONEY. Crap always tends to. :(

3. Windtalkers - I should ask John Woo, what the hell??? It was just another war movie, after 4th same battle sequence it got boring, characters were cliched, action not exciting, and who cant forget the wonderful use of STOCK FOOTAGE !!!

4. Spiderman - I honestly liked 1st half, but then it became a POWER RANGERS VS SPIDERMAN. Lame, stupid action scenes. Sorry, I like Spidey, but not in this movie. Shame on Sam Raimu. Do another Evil Dead instead.

5. Bad Company - Well, It was indeed BAD. XXX did the SAME theme much, much better. Sure Criss ROck had a couple funny lines, but the rest of film was pure CRAP. Boring action, unfunny jokes and stupid plot.

I will add some more, as I think of them :)

I havent seen Signs(moderately interested), Road to Perdition(dont care :)), or Crocodile Hunter(again, dont care :) to judge on these films yet.

But we have whats looks like a great month of September(at least for action fans :)), with Transporter, Ballistic and Tuxedo :) Should be fun :)

Well...I liked all of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's movies until he pulled an Amelie.:D You gotta wonder how someone can go from City of the Lost Children and Delicatessen to Amelie. But Simone sounds pretty good. I may see it if I have time. The premise is interesting at least.
