to sell my broadband adapter or not, that is the question.

I was thinking of selling my Dreamcast broadband adapter, but I'm not sure I want to. I have two different opinions.

<b>Sell:</b> I mean, it just sits there, and I know I can easily make $100 on it. What exactly would I use it for? DC online gaming is just about dead. :( I know of Quake III and Unreal Tournament that uses it, but my über PC can run thosegames much faster and is more convenient. I could use it un-offically for PSO, but why? Episode I & II for GameCube is just about here.

<b>Keep:</b> Being the collector that I am, it's nice to have, just because. I'm sure plenty of you guys have things in your collection "just because." Not only that, I was lucky enough to find it at GameStop awhile back for $19.99 used. :D

If I do sell it, what are the chances of running into such a deal ever again? What about those inflated ebay prices? How long before I could get one again for $15?

You have a chance to make a 600% profit on an item that will have no use within a couple months? Sell it, and use the money to get your head looked at. :p

That's not a suggestion, that's a command.

Just do what Martha Stuwart did (heres your inside tip), sell now before the prices drop once people can no longer use them they will be worthless... just like the X-Band things :p

On the flipside, $100 ain't really much money. It'll only get you half a Radiant Silvergun ;)

But seriously though, if you think you'd enjoy it as a collector, then I would encourage keeping it. Sure you can get $100 for it. But 1) $100 is really not that much money and 2) if you ever wanted it again, it'll be that much harder to get.

That being said, I sold my DC BBA :D but namely because I didn't find value in it in terms of usage, or as part of my collection.

Keep it. I considered selling mine a while back, once I was done PSO and all, but I knew I'd regret not having it any more. Obsessive compulsive packrat behavior? Mmmmmaybe... :)
