This time it's PC Engine! About time I say, hopefully it'll be as good as Magic Engine.

damn just checked no cd support yet
i may have found my answer to not having money for a Turbo duo but wanting to play Drac X on the tv
that is if the guy adds cd support
can anyone tell me how you get any of those to work on a CD? The idea has always been so interesting to me, but I can't make heads or tails out of the process.
They should have called it DC Engine!! Duuuuh!
Oh well, whatever they call it I think it's pretty cool because I like DC and I like PCE. ;)
I really don't have the tech info but it's a simple matter of using a boot disk and then inserting the game disk. I imagine the actual boot program has to be small as not to fill the cache.
I haven't looked at DC Emulation in a long time but there's alot of interesting stuff on that page that will hopefully come to realization. For example:
1. Wonderswan color emulation has just begun.
2. A homebrew Bomberman is underway, I remember a topic on TNL wishing for this.
3. Some guy is creating a Tetris clone that has a interactive music element like REZ.

if you have disc juggler you can download versions of the emulators that are self booting so you just put them in and turn on your DC
Hero since the OS for the DC is bassicaly Windows CE in a sense its easy for people to write or modify programs for it
Only a handful of titles actually used Windows CE, it wasn't built into the system or anything.
I have every game ever made on SNES on my dc! (Cloud made some disk with them, I'm in the process of making the NES)
It's cool because you don't need a boot disk, there are some programs that allow you to put the emulators and roms together, If anyone wants to do it, I'd recommend reading the FAQs provided, alot of technical knowhow about creating cd images and whatnot.
Yeah he gave me that too, that's mostly my cause for those Cybernator/Metal Warriors, UN Squadron threads. They're great and probably run the best on the emulator. Every other games runs from decent to sluggish.Quote:

So, Will, we know each other through the chain of command! (or through Cloud, same thing)
Heh, yeah I guess. Although I told him Super Metroid and Yoshi's Island weren't on there, at least in the one he gave me. DreamSNES isn't perfect, it has a VERY nice smoothed out look but the games feel choppy. Chrono Trigger is decent at least.Quote:

*shrugs* I recently started Chrono Trigger on my psx, so no need to the SNES one. Besides, when someone gives you 685 SNES games on 2 disk for free, you don't compain.. :)
I know, but I like to rag on the guy. ;)Quote:

Aww, poor Cloud!
Guys Guys Guys Guys.
I know that even tho this is a nice piece of news, I have to enforce the topic of discussing a program used to play pirated software.
Seriously,
There are enough emulation sites out there to discuss this without having to have it spring up around here. I personally have ZERO tolerance for rom kiddes so I respectfully request that we keep this a rom free site at some point in time ok?
Outside of elsewhere it's all good but, when you're here ya gotta play by the rules of the game...
