Pick it up at Best Buy. If you buy it there, you get the movie DVD for $4.99. I love Best Buy.
However, I already owned the DVD, plus I got another free copy for having pre-ordered the game at EB...but this might interest those who have yet to get this great game.

Yo Dole, I rented this over the weekend, and am pretty damn amazed to say the least.
This is a great deal at Best Buy - the film is a classic - but the cool thing about the game is, you don't have to have seen it to get into the game. But there's more than enough details, large and small, to please fans of the film. It's among the best licensed titles I've played, and is one of the most pleasant surprises of the year.
Glad that you like it. I played it a little more last night and it just keeps getting better. It's great to see a licensed game turn out so well for once. The thing that impresses me the most about the game is the AI of your team members- it's excellent. They almost never get lost or stuck or wander off. Plus, they're suprisingly effective in combat- they're aggressive and intelligent, and they try not to hit other team members. I came to this one point in the game where me and two other guys had to fight off a small army of the little spider creatures in an indoor area that had lots of tables and obstacles, and for the first time in any game where you played with AI-controlled teammates, I felt totally confident that they would hold up their part of the bargin in combat. They very effectively watched my and each other's backs and killed every creature they saw. But the battle only went well because we all worked together- if I had slacked off, things might have been different. Plus I love the fact that all the different team members had their own personalities- some are more apt to get scared when they see a corpse than others. :)Quote:

My only complaint? The game eats up a SHITLOAD of space on a memory card. Your average PS2 game takes about a few hundred K. The Thing takes over 2,000. Holy shit.
Memory card issue shouldnt be a problem with Xbox version :)

if you had pre-ordered the thing from any gamestop owned stores you would have gotten the DVD when you pre-ordered it for free
Yeah, I just preordered the X-Box version on Tuesday, and they gave me the DVD. Sweet.
No case with that Gamestop DVD though...
I'm waiting on the X-Box version, in all likelihood it'll be running at a smoother frame rate overall, and I don't have much space to spare on my PS2 memory card either ;)
