Actually, Sephiroth was in 2 games, FF7 and Ehrgeiz. He just seems more like a cool character.
Again, we judge characters, not the games, and design wise Sephiroth is better than Samus or Donkey Kong for example.

11. Link kicked ass in super smash bros, in fact,so did zelda and gannon, but especially link. sonic was kind of fun in sonic raceing, but that was after the saturn was already dead, so too bittersweet.
Actually this is harsh, sonic was a cool character,and i liked his games, but zelda was the second game that i ever got for the nes, it was the reason i got an nes, when i played it it blew me away, it unified my entire greade school male population to ge tthruough the second quest(this was pre internet days.) and every sucessive zelda has been a revelation. i would ditch mario to make link the flagship of nintendo. So sorry but link is the reason i choose game systems,and companies to fanboy for, so that is that.

Mega Man will always be the best, IMO. Simple design, Astroboy roots, a heart of gold, and a trusty buster to blow robots into dust. :)
