I'm online with my PS2!

The setup was super easy. All I did was connect the ethernet chord to the back of my ps2 to my switch. At first the PS2 didnt detect the connection so all I had to do was unplug my cable modem and plug it back in. Well uh! Online is a go.
My first game I played was Socom. Damn its friggin sweet. You can hear people really well through the ear piece in your headset. The only problems I had were with people warping around, I asked the people on my team and they were all having the same problem. I was running nice and smooth though. I think Sony is having problems with their servers right now with all the people trying to log on, I assume thats why people are warping around in Socom. I think some people cant even log on. I tried NFL2k3 next and I couldnt log on, probably due to all the people. So I tried Madden next and logged on just fine. Most of the people in the lobbies were rated the best ping for me...broadband kicks ass. From what I played it ran just fine. If you guys have any question or want to play me and EvilMog just reply. Evilmog and I are using the same PS2 online so we're both under the name EvilMog.

hell they even hooked one up at work on the phone line and it played madden with no lag at all

Well that's good news for me, whenever I decide on picking one up. No broadband options (save for the super crazy expensive satellite broadband) exist for me.

Satellite BB is the worst for gaming your better off with Narrowband over that anyway

satellite BB has a default lag kinda when sending and receinving

which is fine if your DLing but bad for gaming hell even the satellite BB sites say its bad for gaming

with how much talk there is of how important online gaming is to the future of gaming (at least from the posts ive seen here) im amazed at how little talk of the PS2 online there is

Theres little talk about PS2 online here because everyone here is PS2 online biased! :D

That and there's really not too many truly interesting online games out yet. I'll give it to SOCOM for sounding fun, but thats broadband only, so theres a significant amount of users cut.

So then what, nobody should be talking about Xbox Live then, since its broadband only?

I'm all about Frequency Online... I'm playing on 56k and it's nice and smooth. Sony's not doing a great job advertising this/getting these things to the people. I think they're droppin the ball but that's just me. Anyhoo, if you're lookin to play some frequency, look for Chux.
