Thats the thing that lets you use arcade carts on your home system... correct?
If so... why in the name of God would someone just not buy a cab?
I'm with 88.
for $315 you cant be more than $100 off from an MVS cab with 2-slot or so motherboard. I imagine if you hunt around locally you might luck out and find a good condition cab for about $300 or so. Didn't someone here at TNL (or maybe it was Go!, I forget?) manage to find a good condition cab for around $175?
But hey, if you don't have the space for that kind of thing (certainly understandable) go for it.
Speaking of cabs, any of the arcades on your side of the bay selling anything this summer?
Actually, I didn't bother checknig around much this summer. Haven't really had the money to be investing in any arcade cabs (but the MVS will someday be mine!)
I saw a Galaga 3 cab in good condition for $600 (:mad: ) and a 2-slot 2-player mini-MVS cab with SamSho3 and Bust-A-Move for $1100 (double :mad::mad: ) not much else besides that though.
That MVS cab better come with a good sized bag of heroin for that price...
Cabs aren't very comfortable. I don't prefer to play standing up or on a stool if I can avoid it.
Some people really like the Neo arcade sticks. They're not nearly as good as actual arcade parts IMO, but whatever.
You'd have a hell of a time getting a supergun/mvs setup for less than the cost of converter+system.
If you look at it from the perspective of homecarts, that converter pays for itself in no time.
If you're dedicated to the AES system, this is exactly where the converter shows it value. Good example:Quote:

From Neo-Geo.com Price Guides:
Metal Slug MVS: $45-$65
Metal Slug AES: $1300-$1800
Samurai Showdown 3 MVS: $15-$50
Samurai Showdown 3 AES: $110-$170
The MVS cab is still the more affordable (and cooler) alternative to moi. :D
Living on the east coast is a bitch. It makes getting cabinets so freaking expensive.
Especially when most online good onlnie dealerships are on the other end of the damn country.
The USPS should be a free service dammit all! :(
