I signed up around E3 time. I like to read the reviews lately too. Its not too expensive either. I got gamespot and ign.
I've got IGNinsider myself... although I split the cost on a year with a fellow employee. It was well worth what I paid though... if just for all the movies.
Gamespot Complete paid for itself during E3- high speed downloads with good overall coverage. The 20-odd dollars is worth it, especially since paying that much for most print magazines only gets you 12 issues of crap versus fairly consistent daily news.
I've got Insider and Complete as well (though I didn't pay for Insider myself). I'd definitely recommend Complete over Insider. They both offer similar coverage, but just the fact that Complete has no adds while Insider still makes you wade through all of their adds (and boy do they have the worst adds) makes Complete more worth it to me. The reason I paid for it though is the movies and PC demos & patches (no more FilePlanet for me ;)), which GameSpot definitely has the advantage on.
And has anyone ever signed up for GamerWeb EVER? I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen anyone with it, let alone visit them frequently :p
I thought there was some devious trick where you could access all Gamespot Complete content using a pop-up stopper?
Same with IGN insider, and google searches.
Am I wrong?
I'd recommend a better investment counselor. :p
I agree with him. You can find the same coverage, if not better, at other sites. XenGamers, Gaming-Age, PlanetGameCube..just to name a few.Quote:
