I had completely forgotten about the Carozzeria- an amazing addition to the game. You can do all sorts of neat things with it, and the range of choices is amazing. The engines run from a straight 4s to V12s, with 2 and 3 rotor rotary engines, straight-8 engines (hah), V10s, boxer 6s, and a few other choices in between. Turbo, Supercharged, or NA breathing, and you can also put the engines in the front, rear, or middle of the car, with FWD, AWD, and RWD drive trains.

There's a body in there that (intentionally, I think) looks just like the old Alfa 2000 GTV body, one of my favorite car designs, and I was able to make an almost exact replica of that car's weight and hp/torque specs.

You can also make some pretty interesting observations about the way engine placement and drive types change the way a car handles. Make the same car with rear-engine/RWD and then front-engine RWD, do some test laps, and you'll be amazed with how the engine movement changes things. High-torque RR cars are crazy, so easy to powersteer, almost impossible to drive, but fun.

It's neat to try to also make good cars out of fundamentally stupid ideas, like a rear-engined Front Wheel Drive car with a three-rotor rotary.

Really, I'd forgotten how much I liked the game. It's great.
