Yes that is correct.
But to be sure, Im pretty certain that I chose the right settings in the beginning, its 3 million extend and then every eight million right? So what is with the 6 million figure from Sleeveboy, Do I play on the wrong extend setting? If so I will correct it and post a new highscore.
I will post a pic as soon as I can, dont have a digital camera so it may take a while, dont worry Sleeveboy, I intend to follow the rules.
I appriciate when people are being honest and intend to play it by the rules.
Edit:Just checked it, I play on the correct setting, and it is every 5 million, got it confused with the 3 to 8 million extend thing thinking it was every 8 million.

What I meant to say was, because you made it to 6 million without losing a life, the extra extend wouldn't have helped you anyway, so there would have been no need to submit a new score even if you had inadvertently changed the settings.

4,705,960 - Stage 3 - 65 Max Chain
Finally passed Stage 2 boss with a good score and without ending my credit. I'm arriving at him with 3.8mil consistently now, I just needed to survive the battle to pass it.
I honestly can't see moving much further up the ladder without mastering stage-long combos and/or some sort of uber-reflexes. Even through stage memorization, I find myself getting smacked by suicide bullets, or one stray enemy will survive my laser attack and dance off the screen, ruining my combo.
Perhaps I should sleep.

Japtor, just out of curiousity, if you're doing so poorly on Chapters 2 and 3, where are your points and max chain coming from? Chapter 1?
It looks like I have the exact opposite problem as you, score-wise.
for the most part yeah, i get on average probably around 3.3 mil for chapter 1, chapter 2 is like anywhere from 1.5 mil to a little over 2 mil usually, got 2.7 this last time though. chapter 3 is always abysmal score wise. i havent beaten the boss in a while, best time ive done it is w/around 20 seconds left. most annoying part is that the boss isnt all that hard for me but i just crash 90% of the time.
I always forget about those damn rotating "boxes" in the center (chap 3 boss). I don't know how I manage to keep doing it but I sure do.
Stage 3 Boss, one the speed picks up and the lasers kick in, I can usually topple it from there. But getting to that point is my problem. It's the dodging bullets and boxes shifting places that throw me off.

broke 7 mil and got to chapter 4, woohoo...and my chain goes down again. i almost had an 80 chain on chapter 2 if i didnt screw up one of the easiest parts of the level. aw crap. just calculated how much i wouldve had if i didnt screw up the chain...over 8 mil
The really sneaky part is that the boxes move up and down ever so slightly one you start destroying the turrets (maybe 1/4 of them?).Quote:

Does anyone care to share some Chapter 3 boss strategies? What I usually try to do is stay in one color and destroy all turrets of the opposite color; then when this is done, I use homing lasers to take down the rest. Only problem is the damn boxes, which take me down half the time.
my only real strategy is "stay alive". i basically just stay in front of one turret and keep shooting, and use the homing lasers when i can, move to the next turret after the current one blows up. by the time the lasers come out, i more or less have a big gap to work with, and i try to stay on the opposite side of the remaining turrets, using the lasers to charge up and just keep firing the homing laser. best time ive gotten is w/around 26 seconds left i think.
on that note, how much time does everyone take on the first 2 bosses? my bests are 73 and 70 seconds remaining

this is off topic but does anyone of u guys play the game on vertical 2? does it help? cause horizontal 2 cut off some borders and the default is kinda a lil too small. Plus i have a regular tv so i can't turn it sideway to play it on vertical 1.

first big breakthrough for like a week and a half.. sad i know but i havent' gotten to play as much in recent days. i would have had a nuts score if the chapter 3 boss didn't crucify me like always :( chaining is looking good though
