Fine line between idiot retail employee and informative retail employee
There is a fine line between an idiot retail employee and an informative retail employee, well, to the customer anyways.
Example of idiot retail employee (i know of):
"Yah, I'm a computer technician. No, I don't know what your talking about, but I can still help you". a couple days later when i'm working, I get complaints from customer that their computer isn't finished. The bastard didn't even finish the job.
Example of retail employee that looks like an idiot who really isn't and doesn't deserve being thought of as an idiot (me):
"I'm sorry, we don't fix washing machines, this is a computer repair center". Customer gets mad because they bought the washing machine at the same store, and manager comes over and instead of helping me, gives me crap to make the customer feel better that its supposidly my fault. note to self: slash manager's tires when chance comes.
