I played the Official Dreamcast magazine disc demo of this game. It played pretty slow, but the acting was decent. The last issue of ODCM rated the game at number 104 on the all time Dreamcast games list. You'd be better off tracking down a copy of The Record of Lodoss War, as it's somewhat similar and has more action. They did say however, that the story is pretty involving, and the realtime combat is done very well. For $10 you could do worse.
Final Fantasy VII style poly-character-on-pre-rendered-background graphics, everything's voice acted, good story, a cool combat scheme...but I wouldn't buy it. For whatever reason, the characters are microscopic. Like, you can hardly see them on the screen at times. This renders it pretty much unplayable unless you want to squint the whole time because the fighting requires you to block, parry etc., which is pretty hard to do if you can't make out any detail. A game that could have been really good.
I found it overwhelmingly, resoundingly meh.
I agree with Rick.
Yeah, I played the demo from Official Dreamcast magazine, too. I'm afraid I couldn't sit there and beat the demo without turning it off, though. But hey...ten bucks...Quote:

I have only played the demo of the PC game which it was ported from. It seemed like a lame European attempt at resembling FFVII.
It was decent, nothing spectacular. Its not like you'll regret playing it for $10.
I think I bought it for $10 as well. It's definately nothing spectacular and is probably the worst DC RPG that I've played. It's also gotta be the ugliest DC game ever made and probably has the most generic names of any RPG ever. Yet, despite all this, I'd say it's worth it for $10. It's got a kinda fun battle system, so it's not all bad...
