Did some one say budget?
Get a Commodore monitor. A 1084 (any of the variations) will do fine and only run you about $50 or so shipped.
The best part? RGB capabilities. You'll just need Matt to hook you up with some cables and you're set.
And these things are easily flippable.
GET ONE!
Can someone point me towards a vga dc hookup?
Click_Stick,
I'm ready to make the RGB jump. How do I get a hold of Matt?
Mail him at the_matthew@yahoo.ca. Ask about his RGB cable options...
Great guy. Enjoy!
OK, maybe you guys can give me a hand...
I want to get a monitor for Ikaruga and other shooters so I can do the 3:4 TATE mode thing. Can you find anything wrong with these monitors?

I'd really like to go a bit bigger than the 13 inch Commodore monitors. Does RGB really make a difference? What systems have RGB capability and which can be modded for it? Now, I'm confused about the difference between VGA and RGB.
I'm also considering using one of these monitors in a NEOGEO setup. Would this be a good thing or would it be better just to use a JAMMA unit's s-video output and put it into my SONY 32" HDTV?
Well, Commodore 1084 monitors are 14 inches... so there is your 'bit bigger'...Quote:

I'm pretty sure most, if not all systems have RGB capabilities. You just need the goods. I actually do not know much about VGA, but I do know that RGB is the definitive way to view games [it's what they all say, after all] and Commodore monitors (like the 1084) are cheap. Cheap-cheap for what they offer: RGB capabilities, easily flippable-ness, and sexual pleasure.
Those links are busted.
