Son of a Bitch!

So my network adapter came in the mail today. I install the thing into the PS2, unplugging the cord and everything.

I plug it back in, open the tray, and place the start-up disk in; I'm SO ready for some Socom. It goes to the memory card screen? Ok, I guess this is just how the setup works. I click on the disk icon (It says 'Playstation 2 CD' underneath, so I know it recognises it), and after the screen goes black, it just goes right back there?!?!

Repeat above process...

My freggin' start-up disk is BOOT!!!! :mad:

What the hell?

Did this happen to anyone else?

That stinks. I think online enabled games like SOCOM let you setup the network adapater without the need of the boot cd. Its an option under the Online section of SOCOM.

Sony manufactured hardware isn't working properly? The hell you say!

I think I'm going to need to edit the online information extensively, since I'm connected to the internet through a router.

Is this going to be a pain in the ass?

I don't realy know too much about this, other than the sttings that show up in DOS under ipconfig.

Do I need to know more than that?

Sorry man, I'm not sure. I won't have my network adapter until tomorow. A friend of mine used DSL and a router and had no problems setting it up. I'd think w/ broadband it would just be a plug and play situation, though.
