I think that it would be very disrespectful for the parents to name their child after a person known so widely as a figure of terrorism and hate. If the child wants a name that will make him "stand out" so much, he can change it himself.
If we can't find the real Bin Laden, I'll settle for torturing these parents in his place.

Why is it the parents right to choose the name? I don't understand why. Its not their name, its the kids. I think the government should have a "baby naming" commitee which negotiates a name the parents.

Fuck anyone who thinks you shouldn't have control over your kids name. Til the kids a legal adult, they are your fucking property, and you can name them whatever the fuck you want. But could naming a child something that might result in death threats and perhaps severe violence, constitute as child abuse?
I wouldn't DARE introducing myself as "Hitler". I understand that the world shouldn't be so quick to judge people with names like Bin Laden or Hitler... but they do. No matter how much you love the name, it could be harmfull.
If you name your child "Hitler", you could also be putting a target on your own head. "Bin Laden", I'm not so sure about. I don't know if that's a common name or not. All I know is if someone was nameing their child Bin Laden in the states, it would probibly be for the sock value and/or as statement of some sort. What name is worth fighting over like this, unless you're making a statment? It's like nameing your kid Satan. And I don't think it would be in a childs best interest.

If they name their kid Bin Laden... that's like naming him Charles Manson (surname). Why would someone give their child the name of a mass murderer? While there may be good people out there with the surname Bin Laden, 99% of people will associate that name with Osama- the Charles Manson of the Middle East.
Maybe they are trying to be clever or get national attention. That's the wrong way to do it. What kind of junk are they smoking?
