No, because a the situation applies to ANY name, and is invalid. What if the kid would hate the name Jason (for example). What if a kid 'Jason' goes to school with doesn't like Jason, or his name. The same thing happens. If we are gonna worry anbout everyones reaction to a name, why name people at all??? Why not just call each other our SS# and get that barcode on our necks now?Quote:

You see, If a stranger says to you "I'll name you 'Turd sandwich'", you can say "no, don't. Thats stupid.". Now imagine that you couldn't comunicate. he'd say "I'll name you 'Turd sandwich'", and you would just sit there.
Your new name is now Turd sandwich. imagine how everyone who finds that humourous would treat you. Your quality of life has decreased as a result.
Thats a situation you wouldn't agree with, right?
At birth, a child is yet to make an emotional connection with their parents, so to the baby they might as well be strangers. They say to the newborn "I'll name you 'Osama Bin Laden'". This baby cannot say "no, don't. thats stupid", for it hasn't developed communication skills yet, and is currently unaware of the significance of his name. Every parent, teacher, and eventually peer will make fun of him, and he can't do squat about it.
Now, can you understand our argument? not agree with, but actually understand it?
IF Answer$ <> "yes" THEN goto 10.
Abuse, murder and \'bad\' names happen all the time. I\'m gonna guess most everyone here is white, and doesn\'t know the average black parent. If my kids acting up, he gets beat. If I feel like it, I\'m naming him \'Stupid-little-bastard\'. I don\'t care what the US, or any, gov\'t thinks about it, I follow no laws but my own.Quote:

Also, possession of other human beings is prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment.
Now you may think you own your children, but the rest of society has passed laws that say different, and if you act on your beliefs to the harm of your children, you will be arrested, convicted and imprisoned for it.
