So, yeah, theres supposed to be a world of information on here, but I can never find what Im looking for. Sure, if I search through 200-1000 search results, I might be able to find something that vaguly resembles the information Im looking for, but I dont always have that kind of time. So, I'm asking what everyone else uses in way of search engines, refrence pages, ect. For anything, from tech to art. What are some pages you like to start off with when researching something?

I use www.google.com for more general information.
I use www.ask.com for more specific information.
www.hotbot.com can be good if you want more ideas of what to search for.
Infoseek is a good tool as well.
google is the best...
Indeed it is. It's the most reliable one out there.
search engines accept some pretty complex queries. You can really zero in on things if you take advantage of that. But even still, the net is a poor choice for certain types of information. Libraries and such can often be better.
I use google, best damn search engine around!
I've often thought the net is 95% porn, 4% anime image galleries, and 1% orginal good stuff.
You need to squeeze in at least 10% for videogame cheat sites.
If it is not on Google, then what you are looking for does not exist.
You are going to have to invent it or something.

Google is the best, and if you are just looking for sites with out the description you know you can go to www.google.com/ie
Much faster.
I use the google directory all of the time. Its very useful.
