SOCOM's one minor flaw
Don't get me wrong, SOCOM is a great game, in muliplayer at least, but there's one thing that really bugs me about this game. YOU CAN'T SEE YOUR GUN IN FIRST PERSON MODE! What kind of bullshit is that. Never in my life have I seen a first person shooter where you can't see your gun. Actually seeing the gun in your hand, shooting and reloading really adds to the experience of an FPS, so what were they thinking when they said "Eh, I don't think the gun should be visible in first person mode". Yeah, you can play in third person mode, but it's just not as good as first person would be. Does this bother anyone else?

Maybe they are shooting the little cricket in actuality and you just can't see it..

I turn off the gun graphics in FPSs that support it to give myself a better view of the environment. Some guns can get quite large and take up excessive screen real estate.

I hate not being able to see my gun in an FPS. All FPS games should have an option for both views, with gun and without. That way everyone's happy.

I alway think it is funny to see a FPS where the character walks around with a handgun in front of them all the time, must be tiring :lol:

This is the least of Socom's problems. The biggest problem is that it's a terrible game.

Well it's not the game I thought it would be, but it's decent. That no gun thing just bugs me though.

Most of the time your running around with the gun NOT in front of you, anyway. And Cloud, go on AIM.

Yeah but that's not the point. It's just stupid to not have the gun there.

It's stupid to have the pic of a gun there when there is no gun there in actuality.
