King of Fighters 2002 Release Date information

Arcade PCB retailer Gfront has released the distributor's fax from Playmore group's Sun Amusement, announcing their upcoming 2D fighter sequel "The King Of Fighters 2002" to be scheduled for October 10th, priced 198,000 Yen.

Good, hopefully a spring time Dreamcast release is planned. KoF 2002 sounds good, but it sounds like Takuma has been raped of all his moves and such, from what I read he is basicaly a "Dan" character now. Awful awful news, oh how the mighty have fallen.

Eh, never really cared for Takuma anyways. My only gripe is the art on the character selection screens. They look terrible in 2001 and look so great in 2000. I'll still get 2001 and 2002 hoping they are still as fun as the old ones and no other characters get 'raped'.

Takuma raped?! Nooo!!

Damn, I loved that character! He was a mainstay of mine. Oh well, maybe he'll wear the "Mr. Karate" mask full-time now.

He no longer has a Fireball, from what I read he just kind of pushes you down. He no longer has that move where he runs across the sceen and knees you in the face. And I guess his Big Fireball super is also some sort of push. Pfff, what the fuck Eolith!!!?!
