I have a couple arcade sticks and they all make clicking noices. Some are louder then others (one sounds like you're popping bubble wrap as it moves, whereas my DC stick is very soft), but I kind of like it. Like the NGPC.Quote:

i have a DC-Saturn converter with a Saturn ASCII stick...
it's fantastic... although i wish i had a jap-style stick that you don't have to move as far to do moves...
i saw a used Agetec stick at Gamestop a few weeks ago for 20 bucks, i was thinking about buying it

I can't stand the clicking on my Neo Pocket either...
My arcade sticks need to be just like in an arcade cabinet. No clicking and super smooth 360 degree rotation is an absolute must.
The TRU near me has brand new Agetec sticks for sale. I could take a look to see if they still have them for you.
Another recommendation for Agetec sticks. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is how outstanding the buttons are. They have a very short throw making them very responsive. Much better than the Ascii, Hori Fighting, Sega Virtua I and II, or Capcom sticks. The Agetecs are very similar to the PSX sticks from Namco, but with 2 advantages. First they have a plastic rather than painted playing surface (important for sweaty palms). Second is a bottom plate that is coated to prevent oxidation.
But then I really like clicky microswitch based sticks with the ones Capcom used for their SNES/Genny sticks being my favorite. Strangely, my USA designed C&L Controls Championship Joytick also has a somewhat clicky (bat not ball) stick.
BTW I also bought my last two Agetecs at Gamestop for $20 each.
