Grandia Xtreme
Wow the first ever Extreme RPG. Why not just Grandia 3? Anyone looking forward to this one? I really liked the Battle system in Grandia 2 and I hope it stays the same for X-treme. I have the PSX Grandia though it still sits in my pile of shame. I wish they would do a direct sequel to Grandia 2 since it left some questions unanwsered.
So anyone looking forward to this one?

I kinda was... but I haven't heard too many good things about it. Plus it's another RPG I'll never finish due to time constraints.
Is that a real word, Sam?

I get less and less excited about this series with each installment. None have been able to capture the grandeur of playing the Saturn import for the first time. When Sue ran to the river at the beginning and the camera panned over the entire city, I nearly crapped myself. The PSX rev is decent, but just doesn't feel the same (it is nice that it's in English though). Part 2 was so blah and generic that I had to force myself to finish it.
Of course, I did play it after I finished Skies of Arcadia. Now there's an RPG...

I'm getting it. I love grandia:D Hope X-treme is better than grandia 1, so far that's the best one

Just remember, Xtreme is basiclly just a quickly put together game based on the Grandia 2 engine. Meaning, the battles are fun as hell, but don't buy it for the wonderful story.

Hit Gamefaqs for the lowdown on Grandia Extreme. There are a few reviews of it that give you a good idea of what sort of game it is. It sounds more like a dungeon crawler like Evolution than a true RPG.

YEah, it's not a Grandia 3. Its a d-rpg. Grandia's dungeon design has always been mediocre so I'm not too exited.

GOSHDANGIT!!!! I've posted a billion times referring to my original impressions here:

If anyone here gets burned by buying that piece of crap, it's your own fault.
(and I know some effer here is going to mention how excited about Lunar Legend they are and wonder how that is too -_-)

When will gamearts stop killing the grandia franchise and rereleasing the same lunar games again and again?
