I don't think anyone uses it besides me and the guys I used to play with at my old college, but there is a control style in Golden Eye like that. I find the game unplayable with default controls. I didn't have any problems playing S&P because I was so used to aiming the analog and moving with the C-buttons.

Well, I eventually got better with default set up, and still cant get used to Cbutton layout, even though I did try :) Doesnt matter, my aiming with RIght hand is better than with my left anyway.

Why Achi was acting that way?? What was she, and what happened to Saki that transformed him? Who were the creatures invading? Was New York part just imaginary(I assumed so)? What happened at the end? Who was Brad and his army?

Spoilers, again. I don't think I ever beat the final boss, so I can't talk about the ending, but here's what I think.

Achi is some sort of superior and ultimately unfriendly alien lifeform. She apparently wanted to use the Earth as a war simulation for her species' benefit, and use Saki and Brad as enhanced soldiers. Achi infused first Brad, then Saki with her "blood," giving them their powers, and Brad in turn infused his two female sidekicks. That's why Saki transformed. I believe the creatures (in the New York section, as most of the Japan enemies were from Brad's army) were spawned by Achi (or her civilization) first to test Saki, and then to distract and detain him. New York was some space-time trick pulled by Achi - I get the feeling she can do things we can't even understand. Brad, like I said, was infused by Achi, and then apparently turned on her when he got wind of her true intentions. He is working for the Japanese government when we encounter him. In a sense, he's the good guy!

man, I could've sworn that I read something completely diffrent a while back. I thought that the Ruffians were Bio Engineered to be food for an overpopulated earth, but they evolved & turned dangerous. Saki was a human with paranormal powers that could be passed on through her blood. The part in New York was in an alternate future that involved Achi taking over everything. I'm kinda fuzzy on what happens later on though. Maybe it was in that Gamers Republic that had S&P on the cover. Maybe I'll go find it & see.

Alright, time to clear some stuff up as best I can:

Achi has demonstrated powers beyond normal humans and believes herself as a God. Her power can be passed on to others by transferring her blood, but it doesn't always work right. For some people it has no effect, and for others it can can mutations and transformations.

She passed her blood onto Saki to help him recover when he had been attacked by Ruffians, and that gave him strong powers and inadvertantly transformed him later on when he came into contact with Kachua's true form.

Brad had also been helped by Achi, but because of choosing a different path to combating Ruffians he had become her enemy. He passed his blood onto Kachua (a sort of love interest for Brad) and Leda, which didn't sit well with Leda and mutated him (her?) into a mouse-like creature. Kachua was with Radeon (who might've also partaked of Brad's blood and mutated) and seeing Radeon's death drove her mad and she mutated, taking out most of Tokyo.

When Saki transformed and lost control (after beating the rocket intended to kill him), Achi cut him open and "fused" Saki and Airan. She gave Saki a dream of a possible future in which he still reigned in his transformed state and had wiped out a large portion of the world (it wasn't in Achi's favor to have Saki in that state). Achi knew that if Airan could confront Saki and hurt him in a vunerable area they could drive him back into his human form. It seems Saki could switch between forms freely there (notice he's tranformed in the New York video but is human at the end of the train, and had to be human to have sex with Airan, considering they have a kid), but requires bonding with Airan in real life (when he transforms again at the end).

Achi's real goal is to create a perfect world (the Mimicry Earth), and then transport the people of Earth there to obey her as the God she believes herself to be. She was passing on her blood to create others similar to her to help enforce the world, though none of them worked out.

Background (what I have translated so far on my site, there's still more I haven't worked on):

In the future, the human race has prospered like never before. Peace reigns, and a population explosion comes from such. However, food shortage becomes a major problem and many are left starving. To combat this, a 'New Kind' is created on a huge ranch, Hokkaido, as help with labor and a food source. But the hunting instinct of humans arises in the genetically engineered slaves, and they begin to rebel. The attacking body, Ruffians, fall upon the Touhoku region and cause large-scale riots. Two groups emerge to confront this menace: the 'Armed Volunteer,' the International Public Peace Organization, which seeks to suppress the riots, and the citizens organization, the 'Relief Group,' which hunts the Ruffians and is at odds with 'Armed Volunteer.'

The Relief Group is scattered about Tokyo, and Achi's "Teachings of Morality" are the key idea of their activities. The organization expands by performing a relief effort to show humane acts and loyality to the people, Achi as the head of this comparativly small group. When the organization is roughly divided, Achi leads the 'Hunting Group' and attacks when the Ruffians fight to destroy a food center. Achi becomes a 'Leader' from this, as those who help others and indiscriminately offer protection rise in rank while part of 'Relief Group'. The 'Hunting Group' is composed of boys and girls who demonstrate abnormal physical strength after partaking of Achi, and are trained to be effective in battle. Saki's abilities are an incredible exception, and with the Ruffians being weeded down in size, it's possible for individuals to hunt. 'Armed Volunteers' decide to take shelter, and are lead by a young man and woman. The 'Relief Group' recieves information from a 'Volunteer' escapee knowledgeable in mechanics. They give the escapee refuge and special treatment, and in return they recieve the knowledge of the machine workings of the 'Eye Orchis'. The group breaks apart and becomes scattered amongst Tokyo, but it is becoming harder to secure food. A decision is made to repeat the invasion of the Ruffians capital and to confront the 'Armed Volunteer', so the abandonment of each base begins.

I definitely have yet to watch all the cinemas after playing the game many a time. Bah!

Love the last boss. Very different. Fun.
