I was wondering how this one worked. If you had one, do you still have to go through Sega.net or could you just automatically use the browser and start surfing? I was mainly thinking of getting this for odd save files and replay files for my dreamcast and if I can mail myself files with this without having to worry about the sega servers going down, then I'm going to purchase it. Is this the case?
if you have a broadband adapter, chances are you should have a broadband ISP already.. so there's no need to go through sega.net or whatever..
BTW, question for people:
i heard something about some server software being released after the DC servers are shut down..
does anyone have any links to more info about this??
i'd love to be able to play my DC online after 2002..

Has anyone been able to set up a LAN with the BBA?
I would try it with my LAN but I sold mine to buy an XBOX :) I was debating whether or not to get one of reproduced ones but I still don't see me using it that much so it could be money best spent elsewhere.
Plus you need a version 3.0 Dreamcast browser because that is the only one that supports the broadband adapter.
Is there any reason at all to even get the BBA? How many games even support it, like...2?
Quake III and Outtrigger are are the only ones that officially support it but it works with PSO ver. 2 as well.
i thought unreal tourney and the 2K2 games supported it as well
I was inspired to sell my DC BBA on Ebay after reading another thread where the poster asked if it was worth selling it now. I'm using my DC a lot thanks to KOF 2000 and Ikaruga, but the BBA is pretty much a useless DC accessory now, especially since those Sega servers are going down after 2002.
I have no intention to run Linux on my DC either. <b>That's what PCs are for.</b> :p
Besides, $95 is nice contribution to my "I Need to Buy Video Games EVERY Month" fund. If you would like to donate to INBVGEM, then you're a nicer person than I thought.
I got one. Since I am off PSO V2 (and will get back on when the gc one and bba for that are out), it's of no use to me. That was all I used it for. I now have to give it to the hardcore pso fool. he knows who he is.
