At aprox. $35 claims per, I'm a bit wary of embarking on the Capcom RPG that is Eldorado Gate.
Any fans or haters here that can convince me one way or the other?

Well, I always was interested to hear how this game stacks up. I would love some impressions, if anyone here played any of the volumes.
It's more than 7 volumes I beleive, and no it's not worth it. Each volume is like 2 hours long. It may be a decent game, but at that price, just forget it.
I have all seven volumes although I haven't yet played through much of it yet.
The game is a beautiful 2D RPG with Amano artwork, it brings the story of 12 seperate characters over the 7 volumes which features old school style RPG elements, from what I played so far I thought it was pretty good but I would enjoy it much more if it where in English ;)
Golden Shop has the whole set listed for $194 which is just over $27 a volume plus they have the limited edition box / slip casing that was given out with preorders of ether the first or last volume... I can't remember but it is oh so nice :D
If you can read Japanese, or don't care about the story in an RPG ( :wtf: ) it's worth it. Otherwise.... no.
I love me some rpgs.
I love me some sprites.
I love me some Capcom.
But for that price, and not being able to understand 90% of the game it's just not worth it.
Damn I want that Nakoruru game, is it any good? (warewolf, cmon now, its got a warewolf sidekick for nakoruru, how can you not have it? :D )
What's the proper name for "that Nakoruru game" so I can do a search for it?
I thought this was about El Dorado Gate... and since when does Nakururu have her own game, she has a wolf as a sidekick not a werewolf... but I love wolves :DQuote:

More info please :)
I reeeally wish I knew Japanese....I have the first volume of this and it's fantastic. Well, from what I can tell anyway. But I will say that the Amano "artwork" is the worst thing about it. Everything else is gorgeous. The dungeons are great 16 bit era RPG goodness.
