It's a coin flip between Nintendo and Microsoft, as either one has a boatload of money to rain on the house that Sonic built.

well the supposed official amount from Nintendo was an offer of 3.5 billion to become second party
supposedly MS's offer was only 2 billion
"Make a new system"...right, more money down the drain. Scratch that.
If they went 1st/2nd party, it's gotta be the BOX.
Why would Microsoft even want SEGA? Their xbox games have been about as popular as a vanerial disease.
3rd party.
Second that. 3rd Party.Quote:

I think that it should be "Nintendo" listed in the poll, and not "Gamecube". The GBA would be a big factor if SEGA decided to sell all or a portion of itself.
I'm pretty positive they're going to stay 3rd party as well. It really sounds like it would make the most sense. Of course, I was also pretty positive about Shenmue 2 coming to Xbox being just a stupid rumor when I first heard it....
Personally, I'd still prefer them to stay 3rd party. There's just something I like about playing Sega games on all three consoles(four including the GBA), even more than if they become 1st party to MS(which would be my personal choice if they did become a 3rd party).
Oh and why would anyone want Sega anyways? Outside of their sports games, Sonic, and VF, just about every Sega game sells like crap. And I don't think companies pay $3.5 billion because of respect...
Nintendo but if nothing happens in the next 6 months i'll assume it's 3rd party for at least til the end of this gen. If Sega jump in bed with Sony I will cry.

you would pay 3.5 billion because thats what the company is worth
based on assesets and other things sega is estimated to be worth 2 - 3 billion dollars
Just to clarify:
Sega will make GBA games regardless of what home consoles it focuses one. Microsoft makes GBA games for Christ's sake.
