Vote for which way you think Sega WILL go, not which way you want them to go.
I really don't think they'll go exclusive. I could see them focusing more on one system or another, but that's about it.
EDIT
BTW I'd say if anything we'll know next week. If Sega is going to announce anything, it'll be right before or else during TGS.
My choice isn't there : Any of them will do fine.
Did Sega annonce their TGS line up?Quote:

I see them staying as a 3rd party. No need to limit their user base...
Well, I dont care to which system they go, since I got all 3 :p
They will probably will still just 3rd party though, and spread their games on all 3 consoles and GBA.
Unless MS comes up with HUGE payout for them.
I don't think so... I haven't seen a listing for it yet.Quote:

Nevermind... yes they did and here's a link to it:

I expect a few surprises though, since that list really isn't anything special.
WTF is with all these companies not showing all their XB games?? Konami, Sega, Capcom... they have huge games for XB and they aren't showing them at TGS, gee, I wonder why XB isn't selling there... :( MGS:S and Dino Crisis 3, combined with some of Segas no shows would do wonders for japanese media coverage of XB.Quote:

My heart says option 4, but my head says option 2....
*vote 2*
Given the past relationships between MS and SEGA, along with the huge amounts of $$ MS is willing to shell out.
I say they will become a 2nd party for MS- despite pressure from MS for them to become a 1st party.
It's a coin flip between Nintendo and Microsoft, as either one has a boatload of money to rain on the house that Sonic built.
well the supposed official amount from Nintendo was an offer of 3.5 billion to become second party
supposedly MS's offer was only 2 billion
"Make a new system"...right, more money down the drain. Scratch that.
If they went 1st/2nd party, it's gotta be the BOX.
Why would Microsoft even want SEGA? Their xbox games have been about as popular as a vanerial disease.
3rd party.
Second that. 3rd Party.Quote:

I think that it should be "Nintendo" listed in the poll, and not "Gamecube". The GBA would be a big factor if SEGA decided to sell all or a portion of itself.
I'm pretty positive they're going to stay 3rd party as well. It really sounds like it would make the most sense. Of course, I was also pretty positive about Shenmue 2 coming to Xbox being just a stupid rumor when I first heard it....
Personally, I'd still prefer them to stay 3rd party. There's just something I like about playing Sega games on all three consoles(four including the GBA), even more than if they become 1st party to MS(which would be my personal choice if they did become a 3rd party).
Oh and why would anyone want Sega anyways? Outside of their sports games, Sonic, and VF, just about every Sega game sells like crap. And I don't think companies pay $3.5 billion because of respect...
Nintendo but if nothing happens in the next 6 months i'll assume it's 3rd party for at least til the end of this gen. If Sega jump in bed with Sony I will cry.

you would pay 3.5 billion because thats what the company is worth
based on assesets and other things sega is estimated to be worth 2 - 3 billion dollars
Just to clarify:
Sega will make GBA games regardless of what home consoles it focuses one. Microsoft makes GBA games for Christ's sake.
I don't think it would. MS/THQ are making GBA games, so I think the handheld market is seperate enough that it doesn't factor in.Quote:

Edit: Damn you Master! :p
It's either nintendo or ms. I'd go with MS. I wouldn't have even committed to getting an xbox if it weren't for mostly sega stuff.
I have a theory: When the DC died, lots of sega fans couldn't bare going to sony for thier gaming needs after fighting against sony all that time (despite that sega games appear on the ps2, the console wasn't worth the bother after tasting awesome DC games, they wanted something better) so they end up going with MS. (for games like PDO, JSR, MSR, HOTD, ShenMue series etc. The Sonic Adventure series I don't think, has as much impact to the hardcore as these titles do, so it going to gc was no problem for them.) MS need sega more than nintendo probably do. Nintendo are probably more interested in partnering with sega (like they did with square for the one gc ff game) than owning and controlling them. And I don't think it would make a nice team to have massive delays on games and having nintendo controlling everything sega can do like they did with rare by putting nintendo characters into thier games instead of the developer's own ones. :D
MSR and PGR are not SEGA games.
