When games like Pac-Man, Tetris, Asteroids, Space Invaders, etc., get shot down, you know there is no hope. I'm hoping that those individuals used to love these games and played them to death, and now dislike them from overplaying. Pac Man? I never liked Pac Man and feel no need for god's mercy on my soul. I gave it plenty of chances, particularly one day when the door on the machine was left open and free credits for all was the rule of the day, and still couldn't see what the fuss was about.
I will say that though I clearly remember Pac Man, I've no idea what it was I went back and played more of after I blew it off.

What I don't like is that I think people are shooting games down just because they don't want that game to be the one everyone in the world likes. They may like the game but like a different game more. If you hate the game then shoot it down, don't shoot it down if you think its a good game but don't want everyone in the world to all like it. You have to HATE the game to take it out.

Why though? Lets open that head of yours and crack the codes to see why you didn't like it! Not just that you didn't enjoy it because it wasn't enjoyable.
This way we might analyze what it is everybody WANTS in a game, on a basic level, and then find a game that fits the criteria. It's a better approach then just "throwing the people at the building", so to speak (Southpark style).
