There's a lot of cool features on the 717 but I'd much rather have a small/fit in your shirt pocket type of digital camera.

Question: anyone ever use batteries specifically for digital cameras and other digital devices? I saw some AA Panasonic batteries that claimed a life lasting "480 pictures." Seems pretty far-fetched, but who am I to say.
Anyone?

unfortunately, i dont know considering my digi-cam battery is a special type of battery..not AA
Click: Of all the batteries I've tried, Energizer e2 seem to last the longest.
Nickel Metal-Hydride rechargeables work pretty good for digital cameras. They have a usual life of around 300 charges, which saves you quite a bit of cash on batteries. Try to get it from a well known brand, though.
Thanks for the tip... I was considering the Canon rechargeables, but they're steep at $35 with the chrager. What brand do you recommend?
Eh, if you have a Canon camera, you might as well get their rechargeables. Sometimes it's worth it.
