Doshin the Giant release in Europe only!

This sucks... was anybody remotely interested in this game? Doshin the Giant was originally planned for release for the N64 add-on, the 64DD. I believe that it was a Japanese release only, and since then, Nintendo has gave Doshin the Giant new life on the Gamecube.

The objective of the game is similar to Black & White (I believe) where a giant yellow... um... giant rises from the ocean and visits an island inhabited by humans. You can influence Doshin's actions for good or evil (when Doshin turns evil he spouts devil wings and turns red!).

Will that Gamecube boot disc that was mentioned in the Zelda thread allow European imports to be played? I'm sure it's an odd question since we usually get everything first...

The "devil Doshin" would offend us pussies here in North America. That would turn American children into devil-worshippers because their videogame made 'em do it.


Seriously though, I am confident that another company would be happy to lisence this one for a NA release.

Was Animal Leader a Nintendo developed game that was also picked up by another company?

I liked the concept of the game when I heard it on the 64, now I FINALLY have a chance to play it thanks to the Cube, and THIS happens. Damn... Some company better fish this game out of the water like Agetec did for all the DC fighting games.

Just when I thought NOA and Nintendo in general were getting with the times...

I was looking forward to it. I wasn't dying to play it or anything, but it seems like a quality game that'd make a nice addition to the cube library.

As I understand it, it's very import friendly because communication is done with symbols. So either dealing with PAL/NTSC issues and getting it in english, or an NTSC game in Japanese that's apparently still quite playable, it's not that bad I guess.

We really need mor Megaten games here to break the public down. Can you imagine how the bible belt would deal with Shin Megami Tensie: Devil Children? It's literally satanic pokemon. They they already thouh pokemon was the devil because it "tought evolution". Think how they'd cope with a game about children summoning demons...

Shit... and I sold my Japanese copy since I thought the US one was coming out. Damn you NoA. Now I have to get ahold of another Japanese copy.
