I doubt people on Ebay will be very interested in paying that much for those games. You'll probably get $10 for those games on Ebay but then again, Gamestop will probably give you the same amount in credit... lol! At least you won't have to worry about shipping and all that crap through Ebay. Look and see how much those items are selling for right now...

I did a quick check for Lady Sia on eBay and GameStop. Currently, no one gives a damn on eBay. GameStop sells a preowned Lady Sia for $44.99. :)

The price was on them, except for Fantasvision, which was "only" $7.99 It got marked down to $2.99 at the register.

Well, you could spread out your trading over a few days. Lessen their suspiscion. They will probably find it odd that you have multiple copies of one game, but I doubt they can refuse a trade-in for that reason.

What would they be suspicious of? There's nothing illegal about selling them a game you bought.

Perhaps they might think that these games were "stolen." Even so, they can't prove that. Now that I think about it, they have never asked anyone where they got their stuff from to begin with, and if they do, well, I ran into a good deal, that's all.

Shin, since you keep mentioning the prices that Gamestop SELLS them for with this kinda "MUHAHA I'm gonna make a killing" overtone... you do know not to expect anywhere near that, the money you get for a trade-in is usually less than half the price they sell it for. You'll make a little money from what you paid, but not a whole lot.

And last time I checked, Gamestop never sells used GB/GBA games with the box or instructions. You may as well just trade in the carts themselves, since that's all they'll keep. Use the boxes to build yourself a little fort or something. ;)

I know about it, I trade-in old games every now and then. I'm not expecting a huge fortune out of it, but I know it will be a nice little profit. :) For example, a preowned Razor Freestyle Scooter sells for $17.99, when I trade it in, I should get around $5-7 for it.

I traded in a used Comix Zone awhile back and got $1 for it, the next day it was up for sale for $5. That's for an old Genesis game.

I just remembered about Electronics Boutique, who would give me more credit?

Try to call around a bit. EBs tend to have a better trade-in to resale price ratio.

I've seen GB/GBA games occasionally with the instruction manual. Just because you don't see pre-owned GB/GBA games w/ manuals doesn't mean they don't sell them. The real reason is that nobody has the manual by the time they want to trade in their used games...

I say you drop them all on the counter at GameStop. I don't see why anyone would care that you bought them new - it just makes the games a lot more saleable than the cruddy scratched up stuff they're used to. You're crazy if you put each one up on eBay - you'll be worrying about transactions and payments and shipments for something like a $2 or $3 turnover.

After my evening class I went over to EB with a few select games just to see what they would give me. The total for those came out to $32. I know the guy there and told I'm going to run to GameStop and see what I would get from them. He said he would do the same in my position. It's nice to have them only a 2 minute drive apart. :)

I handed the same games over to the GameStop clerk and asked how much I would get for them. The total comes out to $26. "Hmmm...I'm going to run over to EB and see how much I would get over there," I said. He then replied, "Honestly, you're not going as much over there. Their corporation sucks balls blah blah I recommend you trade your games in here."

Back at EB I only got to trade-in about half my games, they wouldn't take the multiple copies. In return, I got a gift card for $71. :) I have to stop by other EB's to get rid of the rest.

Cool. I just took advantage of this deal. Picked up Razor, Midnight Club (GBA), Star Wars, and that Sports Illustrated game for $16 total. I'm looking to get about $30 in trade-in.

I added up my games together for a total of $137, a profit of $42. :) Not too shabby. I think I'll hit up some more K-mart's around here.

pffff....i use to work at EB..and i still know the people there. if i was to buy them ALL new and unopened..i can go back to my old EB and get credit for the prices it was worth if it was sold new..even without receipt...inother words, they'll take it back as if i bought it from them..just that i cant get cash..

so to me, it wasnt even worth it. i could of sued and be paid out of my ass as well..too bad i dont have a family member who is a lawyer..i would sue..considering they are family..they wouldnt charge me

but i aint complaining..i was in it only for the promo goodies and money in my pocket (not stealing money)..nothing more. the pay was ok..but retail is NEVER a permanent job. the commission was great when a new system comes out..but you\'ll be paid out of your ass..other than that, its nothing really good..but the work can get boring after awhile as well. the job i got now is relaxing, i get benefits..overtime WHENEVER i want, guranteed 40 hours, MORE pay and you do pratically NO work..bad thing is that it gets boring sitting for 8 hours..luckily i got my GBA and mags/newspaper to read

Just got back from EB where I traded in all four GBA games.
I got $15 store credit for Star Wars Jedi Power Battles, which I used to buy Animal Crossing.
And I got Sonic Advance for free when I used the three lesser-valued GBA games as trade-ins. They had a "trade 3 for Game X" deal with Sonic and every GBA game over $25. They also had a "trade 2 for Game X" deal for games under $25.
