Well, I saw the box, when I was at GameStop today. I will try to rent it this weekend, and post some impressions.
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward reading some impressions of people who might have picked it up today :)
I didn't even know it was released today until I went down to the store and picked up Castlevania: HoD. I'm curious, yet cautious myself. If it was released hot on the tails of a new movie I'd be sure it was crap. However, after the very plesant suprise that was The Thing, I have a little hope that Terminiator might be decent, even though the previews make it look like a generic 3D shooter. Hopefully the developers of the Terminiator game handled the T-800s well, with them looking human, but as you shoot them chunks of flesh fall off and reveal the endoskeleton underneith...hopefully they give you some meathod of telling who's human and who's a Terminiator.
On a slightly-related note, whatever happened to that Robocop first person shooter that was supposed to be coming out?
Also, Gungrave was released today. And I still have to buy Onimusha 2. Shit, I'm gonna be broke... :(
Dolemite, You should get Onimusha 2. Its a cool game, we just finished it Saturday, and it was fun. Much better and more challenginc than original, longer too.
As for GunGrave - rent it. Thats what I will do.
P.S. Did you end up renting Blade 2 game, or just skipped it?
The previous Terminator games on the PC haven't been great (Skynet and another one before it I don't remember) but they were fun.
Guess this'll probably be another mindless fun Terminator game...
I'm no graphics whore, but T:DoF looks quite dated in terms of character models and texturing. I also have my doubts about the gameplay. The fact that the "Atari" name is slapped on it (as nonexistient as it is) also makes me wary...
Longer then the original Onimusha? Cool. I've been hearing nothing but good things about this game (aside from the voice acting). I think I'll pick it up tonight. As for Gungrave, I'm so tempted to buy it, but I hear you can beat it in 2 hours- that's not a lot when you consider the game costs $50. I'll rent it, but if it has that special something, I'll buy it nonetheless.Quote:

As for Blade 2, the rental places near me aren't carrying it for some reason. I've been looking everywhere, and I can't find it. I think I might have to take advantage of EB's return policy- buy it, try it, and if it sucks exchange it for Gungrave or something.
Hey, did you try The Thing yet? The Xbox version is out now, and I hear it looks a bit prettier.
I thought Blade 2 (the game) really sucked from the reviews I read... and while we're talking about movie related games... anybody have the guts to try out that Scorpion King game? ;)
Sadly, I havent tried The Thing yet :( I still have DTR to finish, and we have Turok Evolution for a few days to play.
I seen that Scorpion King box at the self at GameStop.
My Hollywood Video doesnt have Blade game either. So there are no way for me to try it, and I\'m not risking my money on this one :)Quote:

I have to agree with you on GunGrave. I will rent it, and if I like it, I will pick it up. Plus I\'m not paying $55 for it at GameStop. Damn overcharging bastards
I thought that English voice acting in Onimusha 2 wasnt bad. Definately nothing that will annoy you :)
I think that it's funny that someone actually paid for the rights to the name of a company that doesn't exist anymore, just to be able to slap said name on any piece of crap game and hope that people will be fooled into thinking, "WOW, an ATARI game! It MUST be good!". Retards.Quote:

It's also on the box to Neverwinter Nights, which is an awesome game. *shrug*Quote:

So the "Atari" that made Area 51 is no longer around?
Back on topic, I tried Terminator out at Gamestop and felt it was just... bleah. Nothing really bad, but nothing really good. It lacked a magical thing called fun. The controls were okay, the graphics were okay, the fixed camera angles in 3rd person were stupid but not too annoying, but after a couple minutes I realized I'd much rather go home and play Halo or something and I don't even like Halo. :p
Don't bother. Blade II is utter ass. It's truly a terrible game. I'd just skip Blade II and use EB's policy for Gungrave instead.Quote:

I've tried this and it's really cool. It's a good game regardless if you are a fan of the movie or of John Carpenter. If you are a fan of either then you can enjoy the game on a whole different level :) It is quite good, though.Quote:
