They're not inventoried, and they are thrown out at the end of the month (unless the manager likes to hang on to them so that they can hand out TWO issues to unsuspecting saps). Spending money on GI shows that you have no friends at a Gamestop... and how can you not make friends at a Gamestop?

As long as it's just as obvious that people shouldn't exchange money for Game Informer magazine, then yes: no shit.
I get a 10% discount if I get the magazine, so I say everyone get GI. I have already paid it off like 3 times over. Makes sense to me to get a free magazine every month. And since its pretty much free I can't really complain too much about the content. Other then the shitty jokes its not all that different from any other game mag on the shelf.
You can tell the magazine is free. I haven't received mine in 3 months.

Plus you get the extra 10% off used games from Gamestops/Software Etc/Babbage's around the country. Plus the 10 month sub to the mag, all for $10. Its really not too shabby.
It's worth it for just the 10% off.
