Ive seen some really cool games for the system but Im not sure if i should spend $200+ on a system seeing as how infequently i come across such great sums of money. So can you guys(and girls) just post some reasons why YOU bought or plan to buy the system. BTW I like all types of games.
Oh BTW I havent played any games for a REALLY long time and have been out of the loop for quite some time, so please dont write me off as an idiot.

I bought one in February because Jet Set Radio Future was coming. I got a Xbox with Halo and Project Gotham Racing. Just last week I sold PGR and JSRF, but Halo was worth every penny. I'm holding on to my Xbox for Quantum Redshift, Panzer Dragoon Orta, House of the Dead 3, MGS2 Substance, Splinter Cell, Steel Battalion, and any multi-system game that looks good (Xbox will probably be the better version).
JSRF. Really the only reason I bought my XBox.
More excellent stuff is coming besides JSRF and GunValk, but if you're debating, you might want to hold out until it all comes out and you've got a great selection (early next year). After the holiday season you can probably also find better deals and the such as well.
So far I have had Halo(still own) This game is the shit. I dont care what anyone says. Jet Set(still own) its rather overrated but still a good game. And Morrowind(still own) also overrated. The battles systems makes the game very unfun but many people love it so dont listen to me on that one.
i've had other games but I still go back to Halo. I'm not really sure as to why I keep the other 2 games. But Halo is it.

I'm missing others, I just cant think of em right now.
Otherwise I'm just kinda waiting around for Unreal Championship, Splinter Cell, Mech Assault, Ninja Gaiden, Panzer Dragoon, Brute Force and Ghost Recon. I cant wait for Xbox live.

Other than that, Gun Valkyrie, Halo, and Morrowind are all good. Also, if you like the THPS games, I'd reccomend picking up one of them if you can find one for cheap. The custom soundtrack makes the game so much more playable...no more listening to music that I hate!!!

I thought Tony Hawk didn't have that. Maybe I'm thinking of Crazy Taxi. If its true, then my interest in TH4 has doubled.
