Episode 1
Oh, Oh, Oh, I want January to come faster dammit! Why couldn't it have stayed coming out on my Birthday ;_; Oh how awesome.
I'm resisting temptation. As much as I desperately want to watch that, I'd like the actual level setup and boss encounters to be new and fresh come the day I open that package.
But I'll bet it's beautiful and sweet as hell.
MechDeus:
Didnt you say that you had watched the Treasure Ikaruga videos a long time before you actually got the game?
Yep, I sure did. But with Ikaruga (and overhead shooters in general) I didn't really care about spoilers for the early levels. I did avoid videos of the last couple levels because I wanted that to be fresh for whatever evils they had in store for me later on (and I'm glad I'm waited, that last level and boss are awesome!).
It depends on the game. For most pure arcade-style games I don't care much about spoilers and will check out maps/screenshots/videos of whatever (except perhaps for the really late-in-the-game stuff), but console games tend to be setup with a much different mindset more focused on the overall experience then the pure action. For that, I like to enjoy that experience when finally sitting down and playing it. There are some games I won't even play demos to just because I'll have to stop or things might be changed or might not even be the first level with all the setup you'll normally go through.
Me too.Quote:
