didn't ya read my impressions while I was in Vegas last month??? (http://www.the-nextlevel.com/features/midway02) Hell yes I am interested - this is going to be an awesome game, and if Nick is online. I know he's chime in too! :D
Awesome. Thanks.
I will now repeatedly hit myself for missing those earlier.
Two-player co-op, deathmatch, Gamecube and Xbox releases! I\'m looking forward to it even more now.
I sure am interested. :D
One tidbit- Eugene Jarvis originally wanted the arcade Defender to be a first-person game, but that was seen as too complex at the time.
Next we need Sega to bring out a Galaxy Force III with this calibur of visuals.
I've been interested in this one since I first heard about it.
Can't wait to see how it turns out.
From the screenshots I've seen it looks pretty un-Defender-ish to me. I have a hard time believing that they'll be able to preserve the gameplay of the original in a 3D behind-the-ship perspective, but we'll see.

It's about time we had some discussion about this game.
I dunno, I want to be optomisitic, but this game has A LOT to
live up to. There's an interview with one of the staff members behind the game over at www.planetps2.com.
Regus: keep an open mind, I am sure you'll be impressed.
I'm trying man, I really am, but I did feel the burn after Robotron X.
:(

Hi,
Honestly the game does not feel like the classic 2D game, not by a long shot...but much of the elements that made the original so enjoyable are present. It's very hard to keep that feeling when you're shifting from one plane to another.
